Cantu Can't Best the Big Cheese

Level 17 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante
Brandon Cantu - Eliminated
Brandon Cantu - Eliminated

Brandon Cantu raised to 12,000 om the cutoff, Tom Marchese three-bet to 35,000 in the small blind, and Cantu moved all in for 176,000. Marchese called, having him covered by just 1,500.

Cantu: {k-Spades}{q-Diamonds}
Marchese: {a-Hearts}{q-Spades}

Both players flopped a pair of queens when the dealer fanned {q-Hearts}{8-Spades}{10-Spades}, and they both added a flush draw when the {10-Spades} turned. Cantu's spade was higher, but he needed a spade or a king to complete the board in order to double. Marchese simply needed a blank to peel off.

The river was a blank, it was the {6-Hearts}, and Cantu was eliminated. Marchese now has 370,000 chips.

Sower Ending

Level 17 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Sowers: {7-Spades}{7-Hearts}

Bojang took a commanding lead in the hand when the flop fell {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}, and it was all over when the {j-Hearts} turned. A meaningless {5-Clubs} completed the board, and Sowers was eliminated.

Bojang now sits with 295,000 chips.
