Straight to the Top for Chiu

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 0 ante

Justin Bonomo bet out on the flop with the board reading {10-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}, and David Chiu called. Bonomo checked the {q-Hearts} on the turn, then raised when Chiu bet. Chiu then re-raised, and Bonomo called the third bet. The river was the the {2-Spades}, and Bonomo check-called. Chiu tabled {j-Hearts}{9-Spades} for the nut straight, and Bonomo mucked.

David Chiu has very quietly built one of the largest stacks in the room, and now sits with 136,500.

Burke Busto

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 0 ante

We happened upon the action with approximately 7,000 in the pot and a board reading {j-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}. Ron Burke had just bet from the small blind and Michael Moore responded with a raise from the big. Burke made the call, leaving himself just 500 behind, and then committed it when the {5-Clubs} completed the board on the river. Moore called with the {q-Spades}{2-Spades} for two pair, which bested Burke's {q-Clubs}{4-Clubs} pair of queens.

Moore Forces Fold

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 0 ante

Michael Moore raised from the button, and Terrence Chan defended his big blind. The flop fell {9-Spades}{6-Clubs}{2-Spades}, and Chan check-called Moore's bet. The turn was the {2-Hearts}, and Moore again bet. Chan thought for a minute, but elected to fold, and Moore took the pot.

Moore has surpassed the century mark and sits with 111,000 in chips.

Froehlich Wins on Dangerous Board

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 0 ante

Eric Froehlich raised from late position, and Matt Schreiber called from the big blind. The flop was {7-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{10-Clubs}, and Schreiber checked, then called when Froehlich bet. Both players checked the {a-Hearts} on the turn. The river was the {q-Hearts}, putting three hearts and four Broadway cards on board. Schreiber checked, and Froehlich bet. Schreiber though for a few moments before deciding to fold, and Froehlich took the pot.
