Loeser Pushes All In

Level 17 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

The hand was in progress when there was 16,000 in front of Aleksandr Gnatenko and Manig Loeser on the flop of {9-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{q-Hearts}. The dealer pulled it in and peeled off the {7-Diamonds}. Gnatenko bet 27,000 which was met with raise by Loeser to 73,500. Gnatenko tank-called and the river came the {6-Spades}. Gnatenko checked and Loeser moved all in. Gnatenko asked for the count which was 230,000 total. Eventually Gnatenko tank-folded his hand. Gnatenko moved down to 515,000 while Loeser is now at 430,000.

Matthew Plecki
Matthew Plecki

A short-stacked Matthew Plecki shoved his last 68,000 or so holding {K-}{Q-} only to run into the {A-}{A-} of Zohar Spivack. There was a queen-high flop to give Plecki a little hope, but the turn and river left him wanting. Plecki was eliminated in 17th place and took home $12,122 for his efforts.

Clinkscales Coming Back

Level 17 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

We found Rex Clinkscales all in preflop for his last 33,000 holding {8-Hearts}{7-Hearts}. Clinkscales was up against Eric Blair's {K-Hearts}{10-Hearts}.

Clinkscales found two pair on the {7-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{10-Spades} flop and never looked back as the {J-Clubs} hit the turn and the {Q-Spades} completed the board. Clinkscales, who recently was knocked down to just 5,000, is now back up to around 70,000.

Spivack Doubles Through Hobson

Level 17 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Zohar Spivack open-shipped all in for 62,000 from under the gun and Greg Hobson called from the button.

Spivack: {8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}
Hobson: {A-Clubs}{k-Clubs}

The two were racing for Spivack's tournament life and he was able to stay seated after the board came {J-Clubs}{3-Spades}{7-Clubs}{9-Spades}{4-Spades}. Spivack now has about 136,000 to Hobson's 115,000.

Schmidt Catches Nine

Level 17 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Eric Blair opened to 12,000 from the cutoff only to have Ryan Schmidt move all in for 62,500 from the button. Grant Hinkle called from the small blind but was surprised to find Sandor Molnar re-ship all in over the top from the big blind for about 235,000. Blair folded and Hinkle followed suit after tanking.

Molnar: {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs}
Schmidt: {A-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}

The board ran out {J-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} and Schmidt was able to catch his nine on the river in order to increase his stack to around 202,500.

Beauprez's Seven-Bet Shove Gets Through

Level 17 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Action started with Grant Hinkle, who raised to 6,000 from early position. John Beauprez re-raised to 12,000 from the cutoff, and Eric Blair emerged with a cold-four-bet worth 30,000 from the button. Hinkle folded, but Beauprez stayed aggressive and made it 79,000 total. Blair wasn't done and put in a six-bet to 125,000. Beauprez went all in and Blair folded, moving Beauprez closer to the chip lead.

Clinkscales Crushed

Level 17 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

We caught up to see a flop of {7-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} with Mike Mustafa and Rex Clinkscales heads up in the pot. Clinkscales checked and Mustafa fired 15,000. Clinkscales called to see the {9-Hearts} hit the turn.

Clinkscales instantly moved all in which was actually a bet for Mustafa's tournament life. Mustafa called.

Mustafa: {A-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}
Clinkscales: {J-Hearts}{10-Hearts}

"Hold one time," he said.

Mustafa indeed did hold as the {q-Clubs} finished off the board and Clinkscales was forced to ship almost all of his stack to his direct right. In the end, he was left with only about 5,000 in chips.

On the other end of the room, Tayfun Akbasli was eliminated in 19th place in unknown action. This bust prompts a total redraw for the final three tables. Players are now moving to the blue section of the Amazon Room.
