We just saw a hand between two of the bigger stacks, Ryan Julius and Malek Kalayli. With the board reading 
on the turn, Julius checked, then called Kalayli's bet of 3,400. The river was the 
. Julius checked again, and Kalayli pushed out a big bet of 15,000. Julius tanked for about a minute, then elected to call. Kalayli turned over 
for a nine-high straight, and Julius mucked.
Even after taking a hit on that hand, Julius has a solid stack with 75,000 in front of him. Kalayli is doing even better with 118,000.

We missed the details, but saw Nate Silver with an all-in button in front of him as the dealer was pushing him a pot. He had made a full house, and is now up to 49,000.

We came to the table with a flop of 
on the board and a 2,000 bet in front of Calvin Anderson. His opponent, on Anderson's direct left, called the bet. Anderson continued for 3,500 on the 
turn and his opponent again called. Anderson kept to the storyline with a bet of 4,500 on the 
river. Anderson started talking and it looked as if his opponent might fold but after some deliberation, he decided to call.
Anderson tabled

Roberto Aranha called after a player moved all in. Then the player behind Aranha moved all in over the top. Aranha had covering stack, but would be crippled if he lost. After thinking for a minute, Aranha called and showed

Among the more than 2500 competitors today is political statistician and blogger Nate Silver, most famous for his website FiveThirtyEight.com. Silver’s mathematical approach to politics helped him to correctly predict the winner of all 51 states in last fall’s Presidential election, as well as 31 out of 33 senate races.
Silver added a few chips to his stack in a recent hand. A late position player raised to 1,700, and the button flat called. Silver then pushed all in from the big blind for about 25,000. Both other players folded, and Silver added the chips to his stack. He now sits with 30,000.
We’ll keep an eye on Silver to see how well his background in statistics and analysis serves him in this tournament.

We went in search of Ben Yu when we saw a tweet that said he was the chip leader. When we found him he was involved in a hand with the flop was showing 
and a bet of 1,600 in front of Yu. The player in the big blind called the bet and then checked the turn. Yu continued for 3,600 and after a solid two minutes, his opponent folded.
Ben had collected all the green chips for the table, so he had quite the impressive tower going. While not the chip leader at this time, he is a close second and has two more levels to claim the lead.
The players have returned to their tables and will play two more levels before bagging their chips for the night.
