Slow Going

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

The break seems to have had a calming effect on the field as the remaining 19 players have been playing fairly tight. Perhaps they're intent on reaching the top 18 at which point there will be a total redraw.

Rogers Falls to Hanks

Level 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Billy Rogers
Billy Rogers

Brent Hanks raised to 16,000 in the cutoff, the button called and Billy Rogers answered by moving all in. Hanks went all in for more and the button folded. Rogers was racing with {7-Spades}{7-Clubs} against the {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts} of Hanks. The board came {10-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{9-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{a-Spades} which gave Hanks a pair of aces to eliminate Rogers in 20th place.

"Alright, I'm All In"

Level 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Cesar Flores opened for 17,000 from the cutoff and out action on Ronald Crabtree on the button. "Alright, I'm all in," Crabtree said in his thick Tennessee accent. The shove was for 42,000 total. The very active Angel Pagan then moved all in over the top for right around 200,000, which put the pressure on Flores.

Flores stood from his chair and seemed interested, but he ultimately ultimately folded and preserved his stack.

"What do you got?" Crabtree asked as he turned over his {A-Hearts}{K-Clubs}. Pagan, who has been chumming it up with Crabtree as of late, then tabled the inferior {A-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}. Crabtree's kicker had him well out in front, and it's what won him the pot after the board ran out {10-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{a-Spades}{2-Diamonds}.

Pagan Bounces Back Hard

Level 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

After being down to one big blind, Angel Pagan has amassed over 162,000 chips by winning a succession of pots, leaving his fellow players dumbfounded.

It's not that hes playing bad either--he's just catching the cards.

Most recently, Pagan was dealt {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds} and went all in against Cole Jackson's {a-}{q-}. The board came {10-Spades}{k-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}, and aces held up, which meant another double up for Pagan.

Dioquino is Winning The Battle of the Blinds

Level 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

In the first of two blind versus blind battles between Michael Shelton (small blind) and Jess Dioquino (big blind), the action folded to Shelton, who moved all in. Dioquino called holding {a-Diamonds}{9-Spades} and was up against Shelton's {6-Hearts}{7-Clubs}. The board ran out {10-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{10-Hearts} and Dioquino doubled through.

On the very next orbit, the action again folded to Shelton. This time he chose to raise to 20,000 and Dioquino called. Shelton led for 16,000 on a flop of {3-Spades}{4-Hearts}{7-Clubs} and again, Dioquino called.

On the {5-Diamonds} turn, Shelton bet 34,000 and after some thought Dioquino moved all in, prompting Shelton to quickly fold.

Dana Krohn
Dana Krohn

Brent Hanks opened for 16,000 only to have Dana Krohn three-bet to 40,000, leaving himself just 30,000 or so behind. When action folded back around to Hanks, he moved all in and Krohn called off.

Krohn: {K-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}
Hanks: {10-Diamonds}{10-Spades}

"Well, I have overs," Krohn said. It's true, but he wouldn't find the help he was looking for as the board ran out {a-Clubs}{j-Spades}{5-Spades}{8-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}. With that, Krohn exited in 21st place and will take home $8,927 for his efforts.
