Level 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Grayson Ramage
Grayson Ramage

Grayson Ramage was just eliminated over at Table 453. We're not sure of the exact action, but we do know Ramage held the {Q-Spades}{5-Hearts} on a board reading {5-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{9-Clubs}. Unfortunately for him, Cole Jackson held the {9-Spades}{9-Hearts} for the win.

Down To Three Tables: Bokan and Geyer Bust

Level 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Two players have busted in quick succession since the move: Mike Bokan and Adam Geyer.

Bokan raised preflop from the small blind, putting in his remaining 33,000. Rob Dreyfuss insta-called and immediately flipped over {q-Hearts}{10-Hearts}. Bokan showed {8-Hearts}{8-Spades}. The flop came {k-Spades}{q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{6-Hearts}. Dreyfuss hit a dream board, knocking out Bokan with three queens.

On the other table, James Beard's {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades} eliminated Adam Geyer's {9-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} after they got it in preflop. The board came {a-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{10-Spades}, and Beard eliminated the shortstack with a pair of aces.

Agression Pays Off for Gates

Level 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

In a blind versus blind battle, the action folded to Kelvin Gates in the small blind. He call the additional 3,000 only to be raised by Amit Makhija in the big blind. Gates called the 17,000 and a flop of {3-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} was dealt.

Gates led into Makhija with a bet 23,000 and Makhija raised to 55,000. After some thought, Gates called.

The {2-Hearts} was dealt and Gates was contemplating his options when he decided to lead out for 40,000. This time it was Amit that was thinking and he eventually folded.

Meanwhile, Dan Harmetz was eliminated from the tournament in 27th place.

Abou Risk Eliminates Brown

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 500 ante

The chips went all in preflop with Rodney Brown holding {8-Hearts}{8-Clubs} and Nick Abou Risk {j-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}. The board ran out {3-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{j-Spades}{2-Hearts}{5-Spades} and Abou Risk's jacks held up to eliminate Brown in 28th place.

With Brown's elimination, the field is down to 27 and we are redrawing for the final three tables. The players are moving to the Blue Section of the Amazon Room where we should be seeing a few more hands per hour, as these tables have automatic shufflers.

We will be back after the players get settled and the cards are back in the air.

Rogers Wins a Flip Against Wazwaz

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 500 ante

Billy Rogers moved all in for his last 79,500 in the hijack and was called by the big stack of Rajaee Wazwaz, who was seated to his direct left in the cutoff. The rest of the field got out of the way and the cards were turned up.

Rogers: {J-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}
Wazwaz: {A-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}

Rogers got it in good and he was looking to dodge big cards. That's exactly what he did as the board ran out a lowly {4-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{7-Spades}{5-Clubs}.

Koon Bests Ho At The River

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 500 ante

We walked into a tense hand between Kevin Ho and Jason Koon, where we picked up action on the turn:

Board: {6-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{6-Clubs}

Ho bet 25,000 on the turn and Koon called instantly. The river was the {q-Diamonds}. Koon showed {a-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} to beat Ho's {j-Spades}{4-Spades} to take down a pot of roughly 60,000.

Hanks Eliminates Another

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 500 ante

Andrew Neeme down to his last 19000 went all if from the cutoff with {q-Hearts}{j-Spades}. It folded around to Brent Hanks, in the big blind, who called without looking at his cards and found himself holding {10-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}. Hanks caught a ten when the board ran out {3-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{8-Clubs} giving him a pair and enough to eliminate a second player within 15 minutes.

Jung Gets Lucky to Stay Alive

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 500 ante

Jacob Jung of Los Angeles, California moved all in from the cutoff for roughly 70,000 and was called by Andrew Neeme from the small blind. Jung tabled the {Q-Spades}{J-Clubs} and was disappointed to discover that he was dominated by the {A-Hearts}{Q-Hearts} of Neeme.

The {q-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{9-Spades} flop paired both players, but Neeme's kicker had him firmly in the lead. Jung was looking for either a jack or ten to win the pot, and while the {7-Clubs} turn wasn't what he needed, the {10-Hearts} river was! Jung made a straight to score the come-from-behind double while Neeme watched the vast majority of his stack shipped across the table.
