Benvenuti Short

Level 3 : 100/200, 0 ante

Michael Benvenuti raised in middle position, a player on his left made it three bets, and Benvenuti called. Both players drew two cards, Benvenuti check-called a bet, and the pair drew two again.

This time Benvenuti led out, the player raised, and Benvenuti called.

On the final draw Benvenuti took one card and the player stood pat. Benvenuti checked, and this time when he was faced with a bet he was forced to fold.

Pat, Pat, Pot

Level 3 : 100/200, 0 ante

Rami Boukai bet in early position, Fabrice Soulier raised, the player in Seat 2 three-bet, the player in Seat 3 called, Boukai called, Soulier four-bet, and everyone called.

The player in Seat 3 was first to act and stood pat, Boukai drew two, Soulier stood pat, and the player in Seat 2 drew two. Action checked to Soulier who bet and his three opponents called.

The player in seat 3 again stood pat, Boukai asked for one, Soulier stood pat, and the player in Seat 3 drew two. All four players checked and the player in Seat 3 shipped the pot showing {8-}{6-}, everyone else mucked.

Bonomo the Bracelet Winner

Justin Bonomo
Justin Bonomo

On Wednesday, Justin Bonomo came storming back against Mike Sowers during heads-up play to win Event #11: $1,500 Six-Handed No-Limit Hold'em and his first gold bracelet. Bonomo had finished runner-up in three previous bracelet events - including the $10,000 Triple Draw Championship Event earlier this summer - and second-place finishes in the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open $10 Million Guarantee and in a $5,000 side event at the PCA.

Bonomo admitted in his post-win interview that he's not a very emotional person, but his emotions swung wildly during the end of his battle with Sowers and he was noticeably jubilant about the win.

The new champion is already chipping up in this event. We caught him in a hand with Darren Elias on what we believe to be the second draw, and Elias drew two cards. Bonomo took one and bet when Elias checked. Elias called.

On the next draw, both players drew one card, and Elias check-folded to a bet.
