O'Donnell Growing

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante

Matt O'Donnell just took a huge pot off Don Nguyen to vault up the chip counts and land just underneath chip leader Alex Bilokur.

We caught the hand after O'Donnell bet what looked like 37,000 on the {q-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} flop. Nguyen called and O'Donnell bet again on the {q-Diamonds} turn, making it 52,000.

Nguyen called again and then it came down to the {8-Clubs} river, where O'Donnell bet 104,000 and Nguyen sat mulling it over for more than four minutes. He poured over and over the decision, but eventually made the call and mucked when O'Donnell turned over {k-Clubs}{q-Spades}.

Tony Ruberto Eliminated in 18th Place ($21,341)

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante
Tony Ruberto 18th place.
Tony Ruberto 18th place.

Facing a raise from Chino Rheem, Tony Ruberto potted it from the big blind and they got it all in before the flop.

Ruberto was at risk with {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} against Rheem's {j-Diamonds}{j-Spades} and after the {q-Clubs}{3-Spades}{3-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} board made Rheem a set and completely missed Ruberto, he went home.

Adams Felted

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante
Timothy Adams
Timothy Adams

Timothy Adams got the last of his chips in with {a-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} running smack into Scott Seiver and his {a-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}.

The board ran out {q-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{6-Clubs} and with Adams busting in 19th place the remaining players in this event have made the money.

Boatman Wakes Up

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante
Christian Harder busted 20th.
Christian Harder busted 20th.

John Juanda opened to 17,000 on the button, and Christian Harder shipped in for 46,000. Behind him, in the big blind, Barny Boatman called, and Juanda folded.

Boatman: {a-Hearts}{q-Spades}
Harder: {k-Hearts}{q-Clubs}

The board ran out {3-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}, and Harder headed for the rail.

Ruberto Doubles

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante

Overnight chip leader Tony Ruberto is still hanging around thanks to some good cards, good timing and Chino Rheem.

Ruberto raised to 24,000 and Rheem potted it for all of Ruberto's 85,000. He made the call for his tournament life with {a-Spades}{a-Clubs} and held on a {2-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{q-Spades}{3-Spades}{9-Spades} board against Rheem's {5-Diamonds}{5-Spades}.

Kaverman Ships to O'Donnell

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante
Byron Kaverman ran headlong into aces.
Byron Kaverman ran headlong into aces.

Byron Kaverman got it all in preflop against Matt O'Donnell, and he wasn't in good shape.

Kaverman: {k-Hearts}{10-Hearts}
O'Donnell: {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}

O'Donnell was never in danger, as the board came {j-Hearts}{4-Spades}{5-Spades}{6-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}, and Kaverman was done in 21st.

Paur Punted

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante
Taylor Paur.
Taylor Paur.

Taylor Paur just ran into the Alex Bilokur machine and his {j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} was no match for Bilokur's {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds} thanks to a {2-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{9-Spades}{7-Diamonds} board.

Just 21 players remain now and when three more go broke the rest will be in the money.
