The End of Somerville

Level 15 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Jason Somerville moved his sub 40k stack over the line from early position. Tamara Tibbles gave it some thought and made the call. Everyone else folded and the cards were on their backs.

Somerville {5-Spades}{5-Hearts} was in bad shape against the {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts} of Tibbles.

The flop came {j-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{5-Clubs} and Somerville hit his set but needed to fade a club. “All I wanted was a sweat. “ Somerville said and that’s certainly what he got.

The turn {9-Clubs} and rover {k-Hearts} finished him off and Tibbles collected his stack.

Lapossie Can't Lose

Level 15 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante
Matthew Lapossie
Matthew Lapossie

Manig Loeser open-shoved all in and Matthew Lapossie made the call from the small blind.

Loeser: {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}

Lapossie: {8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}

Lapossie was in bad shape, but the {q-Spades}{5-Spades}{8-Spades} flop quickly fixed that. The {2-Clubs} turn and {9-Diamonds} river assured that Lapossie would continue to build and Loeser headed to the payout desk.
