Hansen Busts; Counts from Table 361

Gus Hansen
Gus Hansen

Gus Hansen fired out a pot-sized bet of 40,000 on a flop of {j-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{7-Hearts}, and Jonathan Duhamel pushed out a stack of what looked like 200,000 or so. This sent the Great Dane into the tank, where he started talking to himself.

"If you have that, it's good," he said. "If you have that, it's bad."

Hansen continued for a few minutes before saying something about "going down swinging," and then tossed one chip forward, calling the bet.

"You call?" Duhamel said, confused as to whether or not Hansen was all in.

Hansen nodded - his stack was 153,800 after his 40,000-chip bet was pulled in - and the two rolled over their cards.

Hansen: {a-Hearts}{5-Hearts}
Duhamel: {q-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}

The 2010 WSOP Main Event champ faded Hansen as the turn and river bricked {k-Clubs}, {7-Spades} respectively, and the latter was eliminated.

Gus HansenVery sad - Quick exit of the 50K - played a 460K pot with the nut flush draw vs QQ - No Heart No Ace :-(

Duhamel is now among the chip leaders with nearly half of a million chips. Here are counts from the entire table:

Stud

Scotty Nguyen got the last of his chips all in on fourth street with a pair of sevens heads up against Frank Kassela.

Unfortunately for him, Kassela made a pair of kings on sixth to felt him.

Kostritsyn Takes Down A Crucial One

Level 9

Stud

Alexander Kostritsyn called bets from Todd Brunson right down to seventh street as we saw the Russian put in another call.

Kostritsyn: {X-}{X-} / {2-Spades}{J-Hearts}{A-Spades}{10-Clubs} / {X-}
Brunson: {X-}{X-} / {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{10-Hearts} / {X-}

Kostritsyn turned over {Q-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} for two pair and that was enough to take down the pot.
