Hellman Busts

Level 15 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Erik Hellman has had a swingy day but he has finally come unstuck. He had three-bet an opener to his right who had called and they went to a heads up flop of {9-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{8-Spades}.

Both players checked and the turn card was the {k-Hearts}. Hellman called a bet of 9,800 and they went to the river card {j-Hearts}. Hellman’s opponent now went into a lengthy process of cutting out chips, riffling them together and adding smaller chips before sliding out a bet of 19,900.

Hellman moved all in and was snapped off by the rivered flush {8-Hearts}{7-Hearts}. Hellman briefly turned over {k-}{q-} before counting out the chips he owed and finding he was felted.

King Over 200k

Level 15 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Carter King has just eliminated an opponent to see his stack climb over the 200,000-chip mark.

Holding {2-Diamonds}{2-Spades}, King called his opponent's all-in to be in a race against {A-Clubs}{K-Spades}.

The board ran out {J-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{7-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} and King scooped the pot.

Numbers Update

Level 15 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Since we last brought you an update nearly four hours ago another 1,213 players have headed for the exit.

Coming up to the dinner break there are 1,180 player left.

Oops I Did It Again!

Level 15 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

One player tried to raise John Monnette's big blind. The only issue was he threw out a single 5,000 chip before letting anyone know his intentions.

Around these parts, that's a call. It was ruled as such and the player on his left did the same before it got around to Monnette. He raised it up to 5,000, as was the original player's intention. Both opponents called and joined Monnette in checking the {2-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{2-Clubs} flop.

However, when Monnette checked the {10-Clubs} turn, the one opponent turned his mistake into a push all in. He got snapped off by the player to his left with {j-Spades}{j-Hearts} and hit the rail with a story to tell.
