Donation

Level 4 : 75/150, 0 ante

Antonio Esfandiari was facing an all in bet of 3,275 from his opponent with the board showing {7-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{3-Clubs}.

"I know I'm behind," Esfandiari said, playing the hand through his head.

"You can rebuy right?" he asked the dealer. She nodded affirmatively.

"Donation," said Esfandiari as he looked at his opponent and turned over {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}. His opponent turned over {A-Spades}{K-Clubs} and the dealer, thinking Esfandiari had folded, started to push the pot to his opponent.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa," said Esfandiari, explaining to her that he had called. She gathered the chips back and put out the {Q-Clubs} turn. The river was the {5-Clubs}, a fourth club, to give Esfandiari's opponent a flush and had Esfandiari wishing he had folded instead of making the good call.

Flush One Time?

Level 4 : 75/150, 0 ante

Matthew Rousu had two players at risk right next to our media table and his {9-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} faced {A-Spades}{K-Clubs} and {A-Clubs}{K-Spades}. On the {J-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{2-Clubs} flop, the player with the {A-Clubs} begged for a "flush one time" but the dealer didn't oblige. The board completed with the {4-Hearts} turn and the {3-Diamonds} river.

Only moments after the two seat open, David Boyaciyan arrived as well.

Gilmartin Takes a Small Hit

Level 4 : 75/150, 0 ante
Lynn Gilmartin
Lynn Gilmartin

A player in early position limped and Lynn Gilmartin raised to 500. It was folded back to the limper who made the call. The flopc ame {A-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{7-Spades} and Gilmartin's opponent checked. She bet 1,000 and he called.

The turn was the {K-Clubs} and both players checked. The river was the {4-Diamonds} and Gilmartin's foe led out for 1,400 and after a few seconds of thought, Gilmartin called. Her opponent showed {A-Spades}{9-Spades} and Gilmartin slid her hand to the dealer.

Porter Flipped Out

Level 4 : 75/150, 0 ante

We didn't see Rep Porter in the field thus far and just walked past his table to see him all in preflop for almost starting stack. It was the classic coin flip with {A-Hearts}{K-Spades} and the opponent's {Q-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds} held up on the {9-Spades}{4-Spades}{3-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{3-Spades} board.

Ho Folds on the Turn

Level 4 : 75/150, 0 ante

Maria Ho defended her big blind against a raise and bet the {A-Clubs}{4-Spades}{6-Diamonds} flop for 175. The initial raiser made it 375 to go and the player in the small blind folded. Ho called and then check-folded the {4-Diamonds} turn when being faced with a bet of 425.

Khait Wins More

Level 4 : 75/150, 0 ante

First Anna Khait told us how she got her first big pot of the day. She called a raise to 225 from the button against two opponents with {A-Spades}{3-Spades} and found a {3-Diamonds}{3-}{7-Diamonds} flop. The continuation bet of 525 from the initial raiser was just called by her and the player in the cutoff folded.

On the {9-Hearts} turn she check-called 900 and the {Q-Diamonds} river completed the board. The opponent moved all in for 2,500 with {A-}{Q-} and was sent to the rail.

Shortly after we noticed her raising to 250 and she got two callers. On the {A-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{6-Spades} flop she called 400 and did so again after the {7-Spades} turn for 1600 before both players checked the {7-Spades} river. Khait showed the {A-Clubs}{Q-Spades} and that won the pot.
