Dimmig Takes Over

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante
Jonathan Dimmig
Jonathan Dimmig

In the first hand we saw a short stack move all in and Christopher Dimmig called on the button, Stephen Graner in the small blind tanked for a while and checked his cards. He ended up folding, admitting to his opponents he'd folded pocket queens.

Shortie: {A-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}
Dimmig: {7-Clubs}{7-Spades}

The board ran out {7-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}{6-Hearts} and Dimmig scooped a nice pot.

The very next hand would see a bigger pot develop, starting with a Filip Vanherck raise and Dimmig jumping into the action again. By the turn the board showed {K-Clubs}{K-Spades}{A-Spades}{7-Diamonds}, Vanherck bet 167,000 and Dimmig raised to 335,000. The Belgian then tanked for minutes before announcing all in.

Dimmig snap-called and tabled {A-Hearts}{K-Diamonds} and Vanherck appeared a little shell-shocked when turning over his {A-Diamonds}{9-Spades}. The {5-Hearts} completed the board, and when all was done and dusted, the Belgian had about 250,000 left and a new chip leader was crowned.

Yarchever is Holding On

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

A player in middle position had raised to 32,000 and Jeff Yarchever pushed in his small stack from the button. The small blind shoved over the top and the original raiser folded. Yarchever was ahead with {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} against {9-Diamonds}{9-Spades} and managed to stay ahead on the {4-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{8-Hearts} board, giving him a bit more than a double up.

Orez Mokedi Tops a Million

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Orez Mokedi opened for 35,000 and Curt Kohlberg clicked back to 60,000. Mokedi four-bet to 165,000 and after a brief tank Kohlberg called.

The flop came {A-Clubs}{5-Spades}{3-Hearts} and Mokedi looked at Kohlberg and slid out a 110,000 wager. Kohlberg thought for 30 seconds and called.

The turn was the {3-Spades}. Mokedi again looked at Kohlberg and this time put out 175,000. Kohlberg stared at the bet sitting in the center of the table and looked back at the four cards in the middle of the table. His eyes darted back and forth several times. Finally after a near five-minute tank, he reluctantly folded.

Mokedi started the day out with 92,000 and has done quite well thus far to move himself near the top of the leaderboard.

Prasetyo Ousted

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Aditya Prasetyo shoved all in for 147,000 in the hijack, and Jason Johnson reshoved from his left for about 480,000. Everyone else folded, though the big blind considered for awhile.

Prasetyo: {q-Diamonds}{j-Spades}
Johnson: {10-Spades}{10-Hearts}

Prasetyo had been shipped on by one of the hands he had solid equity against, but he got out of his chair in expectation of a bust. Self-fulfilling prophecy or not, the board came {a-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{6-Clubs}, leaving Prasetyo bust.

Heaps Of Chips

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante
Stephen Graner
Stephen Graner

Stephen Graner knocked out a short stack for 200,000 with {K-Hearts}{Q-Spades} versus {Q-Clubs}{10-Spades} in a battle button versus small blind.

Meanwhile, Bart Lybaert only flat-called a raise and then got his opponent to move all in after a {2-Spades}{3-Clubs}{K-Diamonds} flop with {A-Clubs}{K-Hearts}. Lybaert snap-called with the {A-Diamonds}{A-Hearts} and the {J-Hearts} turn and {8-Clubs} river changed nothing.

Sluzinski Falls to Anderson Again

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

We arrived at the table to see an all-in button in front of Bradley Anderson and Jeff Sluzinski reaching for chips to make the call. He happily flipped over {A-}{A-} and Anderson showed {A-}{4-}. By the time the river fell, Anderson had caught a 7-high straight to double up, sucking out versus Sluzinski once again. These two faced off with jacks and kings not long ago, and Anderson hit his jack on the river in that hand as well.

"You're the luckiest guy," Sluzinski moaned.
