Huge Loss for Turker

Level 8 : 250/500, 75 ante

On a {8-Spades}{10-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{6-Spades}, Sadan Turker fired 4,000 from the small blind into a pot of around 7,500.

After a long spell in the tank, Ivan Deyra raised it to 11,200, putting Turker to a decision. After some thought, he eventually called to see {a-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} in Deyra's hand for the straight.

"I should have folded here man!" said Turker after mucking his hand.

Ross Rues River After Hockey Hijinks

Level 8 : 250/500, 75 ante

Mike Ross defended his big blind to an open to 1,200 from Jordan Young on the button.

The flop came {8-Clubs}{q-Spades}{3-Spades} and Ross check-called a bet of 1,500. The turn was the {5-Spades}. Ross checked.

"Patrick Roy," said Young, betting 3,300 to mimic two-time Stanley Cup winner Roy's jersey number. Ross called.

The river was the {a-Spades} and Ross checked for a third time.

"Wayne Gretzky," said Young, betting 9,900 in homage to 'The Great One'

Ross checked his cards. "That ace lost me a lot of money," he said, folding a {q-} face up.

"That river cost me a lot of money!" said Young in response.

The pair both checked the {8-Diamonds} turn and the river brought the {9-Spades}. Busquet wasted no time in moving all in for around 10,000 and after a short while, Kassela folded.
