Ivey Eliminated

Level 9 : 300/600, 100 ante

Phil Ivey limped in the small blind and the big blind checked. Ivey bet 500 on the {2-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{6-Spades} flop and his opponent called. The pair checked the {q-Spades} turn and the river was the {8-Spades}. Ivey bet 1,500 and his opponent mucked.

A short while later, he was gone. According to his tablemates, Ivey got his chips in with {a-Clubs}{j-Clubs} against the {k-Spades}{q-Hearts} of Kimmo Eskelinem.

The flop came {q-Spades}{x-Spades}{x-Spades} and the turn was another spade, giving Eskelinem a flush, and sending the ten-time bracelet winner to the rail.

Decent Pot for Muehloecker

Level 9 : 300/600, 100 ante

In the hijack position, Thomas Muehloecker opened to 1,400 and called a 4,900 raise from a player in the big blind.

The flop {k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} fell and the initial raiser continued for 3,200. Muehloecker called after some thought, doing so again when the big blind fired a 5,200 second barrel on the {10-Hearts} turn.

The river was the {9-Hearts} and the big blind checked before facing the all-in bet of Muehloecker. With around 15,000 left the big blind tanked before folding his hand and Muehloecker choose to show the {4-Clubs}.

Level 9 : 300/600, 100 ante
Chance Kornuth
Chance Kornuth

With 20,000 in the middle already, Chance Kornuth bet 9,500 on a {3-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} board.

His opponent, who was in the big blind, wrestled with his decision.

"Waiting for a call here, or what?" he said to Kornuth, who was peering around the dealer at him. "Such a bad river..."

Eventually, he called. "Straight," announced Kornuth, tabling {q-Hearts}{8-Clubs} and that was good enough to take down the pot.
