Smaron Shoves on Von Halle

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Jan Christoph Von Halle opened to 34,000 from the hijack and Kenneth Smaron three-bet to 105,000 out of the big blind. The flop fell {6-Hearts}{4-Spades}{2-Hearts} and Smaron led out for 90,000. Von Halle made the call and the {j-Spades} landed on the turn.

Smaron shoved all in, putting Von Halle to the test for his last 350,000 chips. Von Halle tanked for a couple of minutes before finally electing to lay his hand down.

Nick Pupillo Eliminated in 20th Place ($14,572)

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante
Nicholas Pupillo
Nicholas Pupillo

Nick Pupillo raised all-in from the first position and action folded to big stack Shawn Buchanan, sitting in the big blind. Buchanan asked for the count and when he got 141,000 as an answer, he counted calling chips and threw them forward.

Pupillo was slightly behind with {K-Spades}{2-Spades} against {A-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}, and while he was drawing live, the {A-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{10-Clubs} flop didn't look good for him. The {J-Spades} turn gave Pupillo hopes for a Broadway, but the {8-Clubs} river definitely eliminated him from the tournament.

Pupillo Drops Under 10 Bigs after Calling Three Barrels

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Nick Pupillo was in the big blind, facing off against Peter Neff who was in the middle position.

Pupillo checked all three streets on the {10-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} board and Neff didn't miss a single opportunity to fire. Pupillo called all three barrels, paying 35,000 on the flop, then 75,000 on the turn and finally another 110,000 on the river.

Unfortunately for him, Neff showed {A-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts} for top pair, top kicker including a nut flush blocker. Pupillo mucked and continued with just 107,000.

Moshe Doubles Through Bolek; Davies Eliminated

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

The action folded around to Asi Moshe who raised it up on the button. Chris Bolek three-bet from the small blind and Moshe called to see a flop of {q-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}. Bolek led out for 80,000 and Moshe made the call.

The turn brought the {6-Spades} and Bolek checked this time. Moshe pushed in a bet of 123,000 and Bolek check-raised all in. Moshe instantly called and tabled {10-Hearts}{3-Hearts} for two pair. Bolek held {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts} and would need some help on the river to score the knockout.

The dealer burned and turned the {5-Hearts} on the river and Moshe held on to double up for 344,000. Bolek, who came into the day as the chipleader, is now one of the shorter stacks in the room.

Meanwhile, at the other table, Seth Davies three-bet jammed on Jeremy Wien who made the call. Davies was seen walking away from his seat and will finish in 21st place.

Shawn Buchanan provided a double knockout

We arrived when all cards were lying in the middle of the table and two players were standing up and heading for the payouts.

It became apparent that Shawn Buchanan scored a double knockout, holding {K-Hearts}{K-Diamonds} against {3-}{3-} of Arne Ruge and {A-Hearts}{10-Hearts} of Ran Ilani.

A {4-Spades}{10-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}{J-Spades} board had been dealt, leaving Buchanan's kings out front. Buchanan is now guarding a massive chip-stack.

Full House for Buchanan

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Ran Ilani opened to 30,000 and Shawn Buchanan just flat-called in position. The flop came {9-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{2-Hearts} and Ilani led out for 35,000. Buchanan called and the {9-Spades} paired the board on the turn.

Ilani checked this time and Buchanan tossed in a bet of 50,000. Ilani called and the {a-Spades} completed the board. Ilani checked again and Buchanan slid in a bet of 175,000. Ilani tossed in a single chip to signify a call and Buchanan turned over {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds} for a full house.

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Patrik Truong was in the hijack, opening to 26,000. Asi Moshe flatted behind him before Chris Bolek squeezed to 105,000 on the button.

Truong fought back, sliding forward a four-bet of 245,000. Moshe escaped but Bolek matched the price to see the flop.

It came {4-Hearts}{3-Spades}{2-Hearts} and Truong moved all-in for 409,000. Bolek spent over a minute before making his decision, which eventually happened to be a fold.

Gagliano Picks Off Davies' Huge Overshove

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

With roughly 100,000 in the pot, big blind Michael Gagliano checked to Seth Davies. The board read {J-Spades}{7-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{8-Hearts} and Davies moved all-in for 270,000 effective.

Gagliano took his time, convincing himself to pull off a call with his tournament life on the line. He eventually called and Davies showed {A-Spades}{5-Spades} for a busted flush draw.

Gagliano rolled over {J-Hearts}{10-Clubs} for top two and was rewarded with a huge double.
