Fleck Wins a Big One

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Elias Hourani: {X-}{X-} / {6-Clubs}{K-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} / {X-}
Katherine Fleck: {X-}{X-} / {Q-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}{6-Spades} / {X-}

Katherine Fleck completed and was called by Michael Moore, Jeff Lisandro and Elias Hourani. Fourth was checked and Fleck bet fifth to get called by Hourani only. Another bet each went in on sixth and Fleck then checked seventh. Hourani bet and Fleck took a while before calling.

"I have a pair," Hourani announced and Fleck announced pocket tens, she had the {10-Hearts}{10-Spades} in the hole. Hourani mucked {A-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{2-Clubs} for a pair of sixes and missed flush draw.

Julien Martini Eliminated in 17th Place ($2,982)

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
Julien Martini
Julien Martini

Julien Martini's bid to win a second bracelet during the 2018 World Series of Poker has come to an end after he lost a big pot to Jameson Painter before sending the rest over to Painter shortly after.

Julien Martini: {X-}{X-} / {A-Spades}{10-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}{9-Spades} / {X-}
Jameson Painter: {X-}{X-} / {4-Clubs}{A-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds} / {X-}

Chris Ferguson limped in with a jack, Katherine Fleck completed with a king and Maxwell Troy called with a jack. Martini raised and Painter made it three bets. Action folded back to Martini and he called. Painter bet all further streets and Martini called fourth to sixth, getting more and more reluctant on each. Martini had just 3,000 behind on seventh and tank-folded with plenty of frustration, exposing the {8-Diamonds}.

He then doubled through Ferguson before getting it in on third against Painter.

Julien Martini: {Q-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{A-Clubs}{K-Hearts}{Q-Spades} / {X-}
Jameson Painter: {K-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} / 2c{J-Hearts}{J-Spades}{4-Clubs} / {10-Hearts}

Martini had a pair of queens on sixth, but Painter's deuces and jacks held up as Martini bricked off.

Pete Chen Eliminated in 18th Place ($2,982)

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Pete Chen

Stephen Rivers completed and Pete Chen raised. Rivers called and then called Chen's all in on fourth.

Pete Chen: {10-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} / {7-Diamonds}{K-Spades}
Stephen Rivers: {Q-Spades}{10-Spades} / {Q-Hearts}{A-Clubs}

"I have a backdoor draw. One time!" Chen cheered for a good runout. But he bricked completely, ending up with just king-high while Rivers finished with two pair, aces and queens.

Chen: {10-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} / {7-Diamonds}{K-Spades}{8-Hearts}{6-Clubs} / {J-Spades}
Rivers: {Q-Spades}{10-Spades} / {Q-Hearts}{A-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{7-Clubs} / {A-Spades}

Sexton Wins a Big Three-Way Showdown

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Paul Sexton: {7-Clubs}{4-Spades}{2-Clubs} / {7-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}{7-Spades}{10-Spades}
Scott Cole: {X-}{X-}{X-} / {K-Clubs}{A-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{Q-Spades}
Elias Hourani: {10-Clubs}{6-Spades}{5-Spades} / {2-Spades}{10-Hearts}{8-Spades}{8-Hearts}

Three players had met in a big pot with a juicy rollout on all boards. Paul Sexton led out on fifth with sevens out and Scott Cole called. Elias Hourini joined as well and he spiked an eight for a pair on sixth. He bet and both Sexton and Cole called with Cole's board showing four Broadway cards.

Two tens were, however, blocked on the other boards so Hourani fired on the river again. He received two calls and showed a missed flush draw along with two pair, tens and eights. Sexton had him beat with trip sevens while Cole briefly flashed what looked like aces up. Sexton is now a huge leader with roughly 350,000.

"Come to the Big Store!"

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
Michael Moore
Michael Moore

Michael Moore was on the ropes just minutes ago but he's now headed upwards after taking two juicy pots which saw Julien Martini and Jameson Painter lose.

The first hand was seen on fifth street where Moore bet, earning calls from both Martini and Painter. They all checked sixth street but Martin fired again on the last round. Only Martini called.

Painter: {X-}{X-}{X-} / {8-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{10-Hearts} - fold on seventh
Martini: {X-}{X-}{X-} / {A-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{J-Spades}
Moore: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{J-Diamonds} / {Q-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}

Moore opened two pair and Martini mucked. "Come to the big store!" Moore said while the dealer was shipping the pot towards him.

On the next hand, it was only Painter facing off against Moore. Both players had an interesting rollout as Painter's board double paired while Moore had three-to-a-straight flush and eventually paired his nine. Painter called bets on fifth and seventh streets only to see Moore roll over two more spade cards for a flush.

Painter: {X-}{X-}{X-} / {K-Clubs}{J-Spades}{K-Hearts}{J-Clubs}
Moore: {K-Spades}{5-Spades}{9-Hearts} / {8-Spades}{9-Spades}{Q-Spades}{9-Clubs}

"Come to the big store! We're open for business!" Moore celebrated.

Darren Shebell Eliminated in 19th Place ($2,982)

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
Darren Shebell
Darren Shebell

After a four-way pot to fourth, Darren Shebell faced a pair of sevens showing for Farhad Mobassery and was the last player to fold, showing his {4-Hearts}{4-Clubs} in the hole with around one full big bet behind. Soon after those remaining chips went into the middle in a three-way hand with Bertrand Grospellier and Stephen Rivers.

Darren Shebell: {10-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}{9-Spades} / {5-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{6-Hearts}
Bertrand Grospellier: {X-}{X-} / {8-Spades}{6-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{A-Clubs} / {X-}
Stephen Rivers: {X-}{X-} / {4-Spades}{K-Spades}{Q-Hearts}{J-Clubs} / {X-}

Shebell was all in after fourth and both Rivers and Grospellier called before checking down fifth to seventh. Grospellier flashed {8-Clubs}{6-Spades}{X-} for two pair and Shebell wanted to muck his cards, but his ace-high was exposed. Rivers showed a busted draw and Shebell was eliminated in 19th place.

Moore Doubles with Rolled Up Kings

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Michael Moore was all in on seventh street for his last shrapnel and Maxwell Troy looked him up. Moore opened his {K-Clubs}{K-Spades}{K-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{X-} and Troy mucked his hand before we were able to spot it.
