Massey Climbs Up

Level 18 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Ralph Massey opened from the hijack to 12,000 and it was called by the players in small and big blind. The flop came {6-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{2-Hearts} and they all checked. On the {7-Diamonds} turn, the players in the blinds checked again and Massey bet 15,000. Only the small blind player made the call.

The river brought a {2-Clubs} and the two players checked. With {a-Hearts}{j-Spades}, Massey was dominating his opponent holding {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} and earned the pot.

Morris Moves to 400k

Level 17 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

The player in the cutoff raised to 9,000, before Steven Morris, in the small blind, and the player in the big blind called to see a {6-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} flop. The action was checked by the blinds, and a continuation bet of 13,000 came in before Morris raised to 37,000. The big blind opponent folded, but it went heads-up to the turn after the cutoff called.

The {a-Spades} came down, and Morris sized up his chips before betting around 60,000, to which his opponent snap-folded and Morris picked up a nice pot to put him just over the 400,000 mark.

Hajiyev Grows His Stack

Level 17 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

In a raised pot and with the flop showing {9-Hearts}{9-Spades}{10-Spades}, Ramin Hajiyev bet 8,500 and his opponent situated on the button made the call.

The turn was a {8-Hearts} and Hajiyev check-called when his opponent bet for 28,000. On the {6-Diamonds} river, Hajiyev checked and after some reflection, his opponent did the same. Hajivev tabled {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} for a pair of tens and it was enough to make his opponent muck his hand.

Hajiyev, who started the day with 20,600, is now up to 285,000.

Pauli Finds a Miracle River

Level 17 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante
Sebastian Pauli
Sebastian Pauli

German professional Sebastian Pauli was on the verge of being eliminated after getting all his chips in on the turn, but a miracle card on the river saved him and moved him above average stack.

Pauli was in the big bind and up against the player on the button. On the {2-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} flop, Pauli check-raised his opponent's 11,000 bet and was called.

The turn came the {k-Diamonds}, and Pauli moved all in for around 35,000. His opponent snap-called and Pauli was in bad shape.

Sebastian Pauli: {a-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}
Opponent: {8-Hearts}{8-Clubs}

River: {a-Spades}

Pauli was behind with two pair versus a set of eights, and just as he half stood up from his chair, the ace-of-spades hit the river to give him a full house, and with a surprised look on his face he sat back down to rebuild his new stack.
