Mizrachi and McPeak Bust Before Dinner

Level 16 : 1,500/3,000, 0 ante
Robert Mizrachi
Robert Mizrachi

Henry Chow had escaped from elimination when he cracked pocket aces with an ace-five, spiking two fives on the flop. The fortune didn't last long, as soon after Chow's seat was empty and he headed to the rail.

Further players to bust before the end of the level were Robert Mizrachi and Pamela McPeak. They were both among the big stacks in the second level of the day but since dropped into short stack territory before bowing out.

Chio Scoops up his Tiny Stack

Level 16 : 1,500/3,000, 0 ante

"Wow I finally won one," Daniel Chio said after he scooped with {A-Clubs}{A-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} against the {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{4-Diamonds} of Adam Haman. The board came ten-high and the aces held up, but Chio had barely gone from misery to enthusiasm, as he only has a few big bets a few minutes prior to the dinner break.

Assorted Counts

Level 16 : 1,500/3,000, 0 ante

As we near the dinner break, here are some assorted counts from the field.

Eichhardt Takes from Leah

Level 16 : 1,500/3,000, 0 ante

A raise by Peter Eichhardt was met with a three-bet by Mike Leah from one seat over and Eichhardt called. What followed was a board of {10-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} on which Eichhardt reluctantly check-called a river bet by Leah. The Canadian turned over {A-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} for a pair of aces and busted nut flush draw, which Eichhardt had beat with the {Q-Hearts}{Q-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{4-Spades} for two pair.

Dinkin Quarters Raymond

Level 16 : 1,500/3,000, 0 ante

The next four players to hit the rail can be found below.

As far as Derek Raymond is concerned, he just lost a portion of his stack after getting quartered by Gregory Dinkin. Raymond's raise was three-bet by Dinkin and the former then check-called a bet on the {K-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} flop. Both players checked the {5-Spades} turn and the {8-Hearts} river. Raymond showed {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{2-Spades} and Dinkin scooped three quarters with {A-Hearts}{A-Spades}{Q-Spades}{5-Diamonds}.

Tran to the Rail

Level 16 : 1,500/3,000, 0 ante

Phuong Tran's run in the $1,500 Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better has ended in 101st place. Down to mere dust, Tran was all in against Tamir Ilcafass.

Phuong Tran: {Q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{3-Spades}
Tamir Ilcafass: {A-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}

The dealer fanned out a board of {7-Spades}{J-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{8-Spades}{6-Spades}, which gave Ilcafass the scoop.

Guagenti and Dinkin Chop; Stein Left Short

Level 16 : 1,500/3,000, 0 ante

On the three-way flop of {A-Spades}{7-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}, Derek Raymond checked and Nick Guagenti bet. Gregory Dinkin raised and Raymond folded, Guagenti called. The {K-Spades} turn was checked through and Guagenti's bet on the {2-Hearts} river was called. Guagenti showed the {A-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{J-Clubs} and Dinkin claimed the low portion of the pot with {A-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{4-Spades}.

Soon after a bigger pot emerged between Christopher Roth and Jan Stein. The latter bet the {K-Spades}{10-Spades}{10-Clubs}{J-Spades} turn and folded to a raise to drop into the danger zone.
