Racener Vying for Chip Lead

Level 6 : 200/400, 100 ante

Pot-Limit Omaha

On a {6-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{7-Spades} board, Dan Zack bet 1,500 and John Racener quickly called.

Zack pointed at Racener who obligingly turned over {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{j-Hearts}{7-Clubs} for two pair and Zack rechecked his hand before mucking.

Racener's stack of over 50,000 looks like it could be among the chip leaders in the room.

Pescatori Chips Up Through Baker

Level 6 : 200/400, 100 ante

Pot-Limit Omaha

In a four-way limped pot on {10-Spades}{4-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}, it checked to David "ODB" Baker who bet 1,400 and Max Pescatori raised pot. The other two players folded.

Baker wrestled with his decision before open-mucking {q-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} for two pair.

"You were behind," said Pescatori, who chipped up to more than double starting stack.

Recent Eliminations

Level 6 : 200/400, 100 ante

Pot-Limit 2-7 Triple Draw

Max Kruse needed to hit on the final draw against Jan Suchanek to stay in the tournament. Suchanek had made his eight with {8-}{7-}{6-}{5-}{3-}, but it was the worst eight and Kruse was drawing live with {8-}{5-}{4-}{2-}

As he peeled he told the table that it was a no-spotter, but it was an ace and he was eliminated.

Owen Takes From Foxen

Level 6 : 200/400, 100 ante

No-Limit 2-7 Single Draw

Alex Foxen raised to 1,200 from the button. Brandon Shack-Harris laid his hand down from the small blind, but Adam Owen had a different plan in mind. Owen pushed all-in for about 13,000 and Foxen threw his hand in the muck.

Seidel Wins a Small Pot

Erik Seidel
Erik Seidel

No-Limit 2-7 Single Draw

Chris Vitch raised to 800 and Erik Seidel was the only player to call. Seidel drew one but Vitch stood pat.

Seidel took a good look at his five cards and eventually checked. Vitch checked behind and saw Seidel open {10-}{7-}{5-}{4-}{2-}. Vitch mucked his hand and the pot went to Seidel.

They are seated at the table with Mike Matusow, who is his usual talkative self.

Hastings Back In

Level 5 : 150/300, 75 ante

Pot-Limit Omaha Hi-Lo

Fabrice Soulier raised to 500. In the small blind, it was Randy Ohel who called and one seat over sat Brian Hastings who has reentered the tournament. He called as well and the three saw a flop.

The flop was {4-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{4-Spades} and all three checked. The turn was the {A-Diamonds} and Ohel checked again. Hastings took over the betting lead this time by betting 1,100, which was enough to take down the pot.

Kahle Burns is also seated at this table and had a good start to the tournament.
