Bansal Puts Marder to the Test

Level 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

There was already about 200,000 in the main pot on a board of {q-Spades}{j-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}. Michael Marder checked to Pawaan Bansal who moved all in, covering Marder who had 136,000.

"Will you show me this time if I fold?" asked Marder to a motionless Bansal who sat in silence.

"I wasn't planning on folding," Marder said, but after thinking it over for about 30 seconds, he threw his hand into the muck. Bansal dragged in the pot and slid his hand face down to the dealer.

Last Break of the Night

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

The Event #43: $2,500 No-Limit Hold'em are now on a 15-minute break and this is the last break of the night. When play resumes, there will be just two more levels left in the night before the bagging process begins.

The Pace Has Slowed

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

There are under 15 minutes left of this level before players take their last break of the day.

The pace has slowed somewhat but just now there was a small tussle between Dylan Linde and Ashwin Sarin. There was {7-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{6-Clubs} out and Linde check-called Sarin's bet of 12000.

The {7-Clubs} turn saw a check apiece and the dealer laid out a {10-Spades} on the river. Linde checked a third time and Sarin made it 20,000 to see his cards. He didn't pay though and Sarin took the pot.

Fernandez Coolers Rossitto in a Massive Preflop Confrontation

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Alex Keating raised to 12,000 from middle position and Michael Rossitto reraised to 35,000 from the cutoff. Javier Fernandez made it 85,000 from the button and it folded back to Rossitto.

With the action back on Rossitto, he moved all in and Fernandez snap-called for 346,500, turning over his {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}. It was a cooler for Rossitto who tabled his {k-Clubs}{k-Hearts} and the board ran out {6-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{3-Clubs}.

Fernandez improved to sixes full of aces and he vaults to the top of the chip counts with over 700,000.

Pocket Rockets for Hakim

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Jeff Hakim has jumped up the leaderboard through as a result of the last hand. It began with a 12,000 open and a three-bet to 39,000, followed by a 75,000 four-bet and a smooth call by Hakim.

The {6-Spades}{8-Spades}{8-Diamonds} flop saw a continuation bet of 50,000, which Hakim called. Then came a {4-Diamonds} on the turn. This prompted an all-in and another call from Hakim. The {2-Spades} couldn't get there for his opponent and Hakim scooped all the chips with {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}.
