Big Scoop For Bronshtein

Level 7 : 600/1,200, 0 ante

Omaha Hi-Lo

Yuval Bronshtein limped in from under the gun and Brandon Shack-Harris followed suit before Jeff Lisandro raised it to two bets from the hijack seat. Action folded back to Bronshtein who made it three bets and Shack-Harris and Lisandro both called.

The flop was {10-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{5-Spades} and Bronshtein put out a bet. Shack-Harris called before Lisandro made it two bets. Both players called.

The turn was the {K-Hearts} and Bronshtein bet again. Both Shack-Harris and Lisandro called.

On the {3-Hearts} river, Bronshtein bet one more time. Shack-Harris folded while Lisandro called. Bronshtein showed his {A-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{5-Hearts} for the nut low and a two pair and it was enough to scoop him the entire pot as Lisandro mucked his hand.

Some for Painter

Level 6 : 500/1,000, 0 ante

Omaha Hi-Lo

Jameson Painter raised from the cutoff and he was called by the player on the button as well as the big blind.

The flop was {10-Clubs}{10-Spades}{4-Diamonds} and action checked to the button player who put out a bet. Painter was the only caller.

The turn was the {7-Clubs} and Painter check-called another bet from his opponent.

On the {3-Clubs} river, Painter changed gears and led out. His opponent called. Painter showed down {6-Spades}{5-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{2-Clubs} for a flush and a low. His opponent showed his {A-}{10-} for flopped trips, but Painter would scoop the pot and chip up to over 20,000.

Frankie O'Dell
Frankie O'Dell

David Bach and Frankie O'Dell both hit the rail in this level. O'Dell found himself all in with cards to come in a stud hi-lo hand. O'Dell ended up making a pair of tens, but his opponent hit gin on seventh street to complete a gutshot straight draw and send O'Dell to the rail.

Nice Little Scoop for Hoang

Level 6 : 500/1,000, 0 ante
Kate Hoang
Kate Hoang

Omaha Hi-Lo

Kate Hoang was facing off against one other opponent on the river with a board of {2-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} showing. Hoang was the aggressor from under the gun and she put out another bet. Her opponent thought for a bit but eventually decided to call.

Hoang showed down her {A-Hearts}{6-Spades}{5-Spades}{2-Diamonds} for a straight and a seven-five low. Her opponent decided to muck and that would allow Hoang to collect nearly 4,000 in bets from her opponent, chipping her up to right around 16,500.

Action checked to Robert Mizrachi in a three-way pot on fifth street. He put out a bet and was called by just one of his opponents.

On sixth street, Mizrachi bet once more and his opponent called again. Then on seventh, Mizrachi put out another bet and his opponent called again. Mike Leah
Mike Leah

Stud Hi-Lo

Mike Leah: {x-}{x-}/{5-Spades}{6-Hearts}{J-Hearts}{5-Clubs}/{x-}
Ylon Schwartz: {x-}{x-}/{6-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{10-Hearts}/{x-}

Action was on sixth street upon our arrival at the table with each player having multiple bets already in front of them. Leah was first to act on sixth street and he put out a bet that Schwartz called.

On seventh, Leah bet one more time and Schwartz called one more time. Leah showed down his {5-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} for three fives and it was good for him to get the scoop from Schwartz. With that pot, Leah moves into one of the biggest stacks in the room with over 40,000 already on Day 1 while Schwartz was left shaking his head after the hand.

Bach Nearly Doubles Up

Level 6 : 500/1,000, 0 ante

Omaha Hi-Lo

From early position, David Bach raised it up. He was only called by the player in the small blind while Matt Grapenthien folded the big blind.

The flop was {K-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{9-Clubs} and the small blind checked to Bach, who bet. The small blind called.

On the {6-Spades} turn, the small blind checked, then called another bet from Bach.

The river was the {A-Clubs} and the small blind checked for a third time. Bach moved all in for just 400 more chips and his opponent thought for a bit, but then released. Bach raked in the pot, nearly doubling up in the process to just under 7,000 chips.
