Steve Billirakis Eliminated in 11th Place ($71,880)

Level 36 : 150,000/300,000, 50,000 ante
Steve Billirakis
Steve Billirakis

Steve Billirakis opened to 650,000 from the cutoff and Chris Chong three-bet to 1,825,000 out of the small blind. The action was back on Billirakis who four-bet shoved all in for 9,105,000. Chong thought for a minute and then closed his eyes as he stuck in the chips to call.

Chris Chong: {j-Spades}{j-Hearts}
Steve Billirakis: {q-Spades}{q-Clubs}

Billirakis held the superior pocket pair and was in great shape to double up. That was until the dealer fanned the flop of {k-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{5-Spades} with the jack right in the window. The {10-Diamonds} on the turn gave Billirakis an open-ended straight draw, but the {10-Hearts} on the river only improved Chong to a full house. Billirakis was eliminated in 11th place and the remaining 10 players will now redraw for seats at the unofficial final table.

Carroll Flops a Boat

Level 36 : 150,000/300,000, 50,000 ante

On a {9-Spades}{j-Spades}{9-Hearts} flop, James Carroll checked, as did Tommy Nguyen, and Francis Rusnak bet 500,000. Carroll was the only caller.

Carroll check-called a bet of 1,175,000 on the {10-Diamonds} turn and the river was the {a-Spades}. Carroll checked for a third time and Rusnak moved all in. Carroll snap-called with {9-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} and Rusnak showed {k-Clubs}{9-Clubs} on the way to the muck. Carroll's double was for 3,720,000.

Daniel Sprung Eliminated in 12th Place ($71,880)

Level 36 : 150,000/300,000, 50,000 ante
Daniel Sprung
Daniel Sprung

Daniel Sprung was sitting on around five big blinds and moved all in for just over 1,500,000 from under the gun. Francis Rusnak re-shoved all in from the small blind and James Carroll folded his big blind.

Francis Rusnak: {a-Spades}{10-Hearts}
Daniel Sprung: {k-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}

Rusnak was ahead with his ace high and things didn't change when the flop came {q-Clubs}{7-Spades}{6-Clubs}. The {a-Clubs} on the turn gave Rusnak a pair and Sprung was left with a straight draw. The {8-Diamonds} on the river bricked off and Sprung was eliminated in 12th place.

Chong showed {9-Clubs}{5-Spades} allowing Corbett to take down the pot with {k-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} for two pair, kings and fives.

Billirakis Hits an Ace from Space

Level 36 : 150,000/300,000, 50,000 ante

Harald Sammer raised to 650,000 from the cutoff and Steve Billirakis three-bet jammed all in for 4,940,000 in the big blind. Sammer instantly called and the cards were tabled with Sammer in the lead.

Steve Billirakis: {a-Diamonds}{10-Spades}
Harald Sammer: {q-Spades}{q-Hearts}

The flop came {9-Spades}{7-Clubs}{2-Clubs} and Sammer still held a comfortable lead with his pair of queens. The {k-Spades} on the turn was no help to Billirakis, but the {a-Hearts} on the river was just what he was looking for. It was Billirakis' turn to spike the river and he earned himself a double-up.

Win One, Lose One for Billirakis

Level 35 : 120,000/240,000, 40,000 ante

Harald Sammer opened to 550,000 from the cutoff and Steve Billirakis three-bet to 1,300,000 from the big blind. The action was back on Sammer who four-bet shoved all in and was quickly called by Billirakis.

Sammer tabled {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds} and was in a race against the {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds} of Billirakis. The flop came {q-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{9-Spades}, giving Billirakis a set of jacks and the lead in the hand. The turn was the {5-Diamonds} and Sammer picked up a flush draw. The river brought the {7-Diamonds} as Sammer made his flush and scored a huge double-up.

In the next hand, Rittie Chuaprasert raised to 550,000 from under the gun and Jimmy Chen three-bet to 1,500,000. Billirakis pushed all in for 1,905,000 which got Chuaprasert to fold his hand. Chen quickly called and tabled {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs} which was way ahead of the {a-Hearts}{j-Hearts} of Billirakis.

The flop came {4-Spades}{4-Clubs}{2-Clubs} and Chen was still way out front with a pair of kings. However, the {a-Diamonds} on the turn gave Billirakis the best hand and he would not look back as the {8-Diamonds} completed the board.

Raul Manzanares Eliminated in 13th Place ($56,551)

Level 35 : 120,000/240,000, 40,000 ante
Raul Manzanares Lozano
Raul Manzanares Lozano

The aftermath of the big pot reported a moment ago left Michael Benko and Raul Manzanares on the short stacks. The two players got all of their chips in the middle with Manzanares at risk and Benko holding the superior hand.

Michael Benko: {a-Spades}{k-Spades}
Raul Manzanares: {a-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}

The flop fell {10-Spades}{9-Spades}{7-Spades} and although Manzanares paired his nine, Benko flopped a flush to hold a monster lead. The {q-Spades} on the turn meant it was all over for Manzanares who finished in 13th place.
