Welcome to Day 2 of Event #48: $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em MONSTER STACK which kicks-off at 11 a.m. when players will descend upon the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino once more with the dream of becoming a WSOP gold bracelet winner.

Today will see 2,085 players return after 1,362 advanced from yesterday's Day 1b flight to join the 723 survivors from Saturday's Day 1a. A total of 6,260 took part across the two Day 1s to create an $8,451,000 prize pool with a staggering $1,037,451 first-place prize.

Kfir Ivgi (196,700) will begin the play as the chip leader with Jeffery Trudeau (193,800) and Shalev Halfa (186,000) closely behind. Well known players Yordan Petrov (141,900), Marc MacDonnell (140,200), Joe McKeehen (129,800), Kenny Hallaert (124,600), Calvin Anderson (116,600), and Bart Lybaert (114,600) will also be seated behind considerable stacks to start today.

When the money bubble bursts, 939 players will receive a cash payout for their efforts with the minimum worth $2,251.

Ten 60-minute levels will be played out with blinds starting at 500/1,000 with a 100 ante. There will be 15-min breaks every two levels and a 60-min dinner break after the 6th level.
