Java Sends One Out

Level 17 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

The player in middle position moved all in for 14,000. Nipun Java, on the cutoff, three-bet to 24,000. The button and the blinds folded.

Nipun Java: {a-Spades}{5-Diamonds}
Opponent: {a-Clubs}{j-Hearts}

''Oh it's great! Cool!'' commented Java's opponent.

But the board ran {4-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} and Java's rivered flush took over to send his opponent out in a not so cool way.

Patterson Cracks Aces on the River

Level 17 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante
Tyler Patterson
Tyler Patterson

Tyler Patterson has just scored an elimination after a cruel river card.

Patterson, in the cutoff, was up against the player on the button and all the chips were in the middle with the board down {10-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{7-Spades}{5-Clubs}{k-Spades}.

Patterson had pocket kings in front of him, and his opponent had pocket aces. The player on the button was all set for a double-up until Patterson spiked a king to send his opponent to the rail.

WSOP bracelet winner Patterson now has a very healthy 560,000 stack.
