Schindler Folds to Mateos "Bluff"

Seth Davies bet 90,000 on a {6-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} and Jake Schindler called. Adrian Mateos, the third player in the hand, then raised to 350,000. Davies folded quickly, and Schindler soon after.

"He bluffed me," said Schindler about Mateos' bet.

"Why not go all in, then?" asked Mateos. "No balls?"

Nick Petrangelo raised to 80,000 from under the gun and was called by Johannes Becker in the cutoff. Christian Christner was in the big blind and shipped all in for around 1,300,000. Petrangelo moved all in over the top and Becker got out of the way.

The flop fell {a-Spades}{q-Clubs}{8-Spades} and Petrangelo paired his ace, leaving Christner drawing to one of two remaining tens in the deck. The turn was the {q-Hearts} and the river was the {8-Clubs}, sending Christner to the rail and bringing the tournament down to just three tables.

Schwippert Eliminated by Holz in Massive Pot

Steffen Sontheimer opened to 85,000 from the hijack, Jan-Eric Schwippert three-bet to 230,000 from the cutoff, and Fedor Holz four-bet to 680,000 from the big blind. Sontheimer folded, Schwippert used a time extension before he reraised all in got 2,845,000, and Holz called after a few moments.

Schwippert tabled {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}, while Holz showed a dominating {Q-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}.

The board came down {J-Spades}{6-Spades}{3-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{5-Clubs}, no help to Schwippert, locking up the massive pot for Holz.

The board was {a-}{10-}{10-}{q-}{j-} with Chidwick hitting his gutshot to eliminate the ten-time bracelet winner.

Hata Doubles Through Volpe

Brian Rast raised to 80,000 from under the gun and Jason Mercier called in the next position. Paul Volpe three-bet to 275,000 from the button and Aymon Hata moved all in from the big blind for 610,000. Rast and Mercier folded and Volpe made the call.

The turn was the {8-Hearts} and Andress checked to Fox again who bet another 350,000. Andress check-raised all in for around 1,000,000 and Fox snapped him off. Andress turned over {6-Hearts}{6-Clubs} for a pair and open-ended straight draw while Fox flopped a set with {3-Spades}{3-Hearts}. The river paired the board with the {8-Spades} and Fox improved to a full house to eliminate Andress.
