Rast Can't Shake Chidwick

Level 14 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Brian Rast opened from under the gun and Stephen Chidwick three-bet to 225,000 from the cutoff. The action folded back to Rast who called to see a flop of {q-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}. Rast check-called a bet of 175,000 from Chidwick and the {10-Diamonds} landed on the turn.

Rast checked again and Chidwick pushed in another bet of 500,000. Rast check-raised to 1,000,000 but Chidwick stuck around to see the {8-Clubs} on the river. Rast checked for the third time and Chidwick checked behind. Rast turned over {a-Hearts}{8-Hearts} for a missed flush draw and Chidwick tabled {j-Spades}{9-Spades} to scoop the pot.

Break

Level 13 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Players are going on another break. They are moving the table containing Fedor Holz, Darren Elias, Adrian Mateos, Jason Koon, Steffen Sontheimer, Jan-Eric Schwippert, Andreas Eiler and Ryan Riess to the Brasilia feature table, where it will be streamed on a 30-minute delay on Twitch.

Sontheimer Loses a Bunch then Doubles Up

Level 13 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

The board read {6-Spades}{4-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} and Steffen Sontheimer check-called a bet of 110,000 from Andreas Eiler. The river brought the {q-Clubs} and Sontheimer checked again. Eiler announced all in, putting Sontheimer at risk for his last 330,000 but he chose to quickly muck his cards.

In the next hand, the action folded around to Sontheimer in the small blind who shipped all in for his last 325,000. Jan-Eric Schwippert looked down at his cards and instantly called. Sontheimer turned over a premium holding of {a-Clubs}{k-Spades} but Schwippert woke up with {k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds} in the big blind.

The flop fell {a-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} and suddenly the roles were reversed. Sontheimer took the lead with a pair of aces and wouldn't look back with the {j-Spades} and {8-Hearts} completing the board. Sontheimer got a full double up just prior to another 15-minute break.

We didn't manage to get the action, but with a board of {5-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} out between Bryn Kenney and Jake Schindler, the dealer was counting out a double for Kenney.

Schindler held {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds} but they had been cracked by the {10-Clubs}{10-Spades} of Kenney. Kenney now has close to three million in chips.
