Klodnicki Runs into Nguyen's Flush

Level 14 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Scotty Nguyen bet 4,000 on the flop of {5-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{K-Clubs} and Chris Klodnicki check-raised out of the small blind, firing 12,000. Nguyen called and Klodnicki barreled the {10-Diamonds} turn for 15,000. Nguyen double-checked his hand and then tossed in calling chips.

The river came {7-Hearts} and Klodnicki cut out a bet of 25,000. Nguyen snap-shoved and Klodnicki folded his hand. Nguyen threw {K-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} face down to the middle of the table and raked in a sizeable pot.

Kempe Needs to Pay

Level 14 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

The board read {9-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{5-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} with about 19,000 in the middle already.

Rainer Kempe had checked in the big blind and his opponent in mid-position shoved for 22,200 in total. Kempe tanked and checked how much was in the middle already. Kempe then made the call. His opponent tabled {8-Spades}{7-Spades} for the straight and Kempe quickly threw his cards into the muck.

Elezra Doubles Up

Level 14 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Eli Elezra was in the big blind and got his approximately 45,000-chip stack in before the flop against a single opponent in early position.

Eli Elezra: {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs}
Opponent: {A-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}

The two players were racing for the pot and Elezra's opponent needed to improve in order to knock him out. He took the lead on the {Q-Clubs}{J-Spades}{J-Clubs} flop, but Elezra regained the advantage on the {10-Spades} turn. The {9-Diamonds} river changed nothing and Elezra took the pot to double up.

Lappas Felted

Level 13 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

From the button, Charalampos Lappas three-bet shoved all in for about 30,000 over a raise from the cutoff and the original aggressor looked him up. Lappas' {A-Hearts}{9-Clubs} was dominated by {A-Spades}{K-Hearts} but he pulled ahead on the {4-Clubs}{Q-Spades}{9-Hearts} flop. The {10-Clubs} turn stayed with Lappas but the {K-Spades} sent him to the rail.

Bonyadi Takes Two in a Row Out

Level 13 : 800/1,600, 200 ante
Farhintaj Bonyadi earlier this summer
Farhintaj Bonyadi earlier this summer

Farhintaj Bonyadi, the 2018 Super Seniors bracelet winner, limped in from under the gun and action folded to Eric Baldwin on the button who shoved for 24,800 in total. The player in the big blind considered it for a while but folded. Bonyadi looked at her cards again and then called.

Eric Baldwin: {A-Diamonds}{J-Spades}
Farhintaj Bonyadi: {9-Spades}{8-Spades}

The board ran out {6-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{2-Hearts} for Bonyadi to hit a pair on the flop and two pair on the turn to eliminate Baldwin from the Closer.

The hand right after that, the player on the button shoved for about 14,000 and Bonyadi now called in the big blind.

Button: {A-Hearts}{4-Spades}
Farhintaj Bonyadi: {k-Hearts}{k-Spades}

Now the board ran out {8-Spades}{2-Hearts}{5-Spades}{9-Spades}{2-Spades} for Bonyadi to hit the higher flush to claim her next victim.
