Katz Gets Paid by Greenberg on the River

Level 6 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

There was around 75,000 in the pot on the river as Larry Greenberg faced off against Cary Katz. The board showed {6-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{2-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} and Katz put out a bet of 62,000.

Greenberg then dropped into the tank. He thought through his first time extension and tanked through nearly all of his second time extension before he eventually called. Catz showed down his {K-Hearts}{3-Hearts} for rivered trips and it would earn him the pot.

"Fuck," Greenberg said. "Nice hand."

Greenberg sent over the chips and Katz chipped up to just over 290,000 chips.

Fast Off to a Better Start

Level 6 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Dietrich Fast opened from the hijack with a raise to 8,000. Ryan Tosoc called on the button. Sam Soverel called in the big blind too.

The flop was {7-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} and action checked to Fast. He put out a bet of 10,000. Tosoc folded while Soverel called.

The turn was the {2-Diamonds} prompting checks from both players and the {10-Spades} dropped on the river. There, Soverel checked again. Fast fired a river bet of 75,000 which was almost enough to put Soverel all in. He tanked for a good while but eventually decided to fold and Fast took down the pot.
