Filippi Busted by Trigeorgis

Level 5 : 400/800, 0 ante

Badugi

Amnon Filippi had nearly all of his chips in the middle in a three-way pot and drew two from the small blind. George Trigeorgis was pat in the big and a third player took a card. Trigoergis bet and both opponents called, Filippi for less.

Trigeorgis stayed pat and both opponents took one again. Trigeorgis bet to force a fold and Filippi showed a three-card nine, but Trigeorgis had {6-Spades}{5-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} for a six-badugi and the win.

The next hand, Trigeorgis raised in the small blind and the big blind called. Draws went one and two with Trigeorgis continuing to bet. After the second draw, his opponent mucked and Trigeorgis showed a jack-badugi.

Showers for Glaser

A-5 Triple Draw

Benny Glaser has been eliminated from the tournament after losing his chip-stack for the second time today.

Jerry Wong was the one who sent him to the rail in what was originally a three-way pot with all players drawing for two. Glaser led out, Wong raised and while the other player called, he eventually gave up after Glaser three-bet and Wong four-bet.

Glaser called and put the rest of his chips in after the next draw where he patted and Wong took one.

Wong called and sweated the last draw. He had {A-}{2-}{3-}{4-} and the dealer shipped him the five-ball for the nuts. Glaser briefly showed his hand but it remained unclear to our eyes. Whatever it was, Glaser couldn't beat the nuts and left empty-handed.

Obst Adds Some, Climbs Near the Starting Stack

Level 5 : 400/800, 0 ante

Badugi

Last year's runner-up James Obst was in a heads-up pot, patting in position after his opponent drew two.

Obst bet-called before the second draw where both players tapped. His opponent checked again and Obst fired, earning a call.

Both patted and tapped, allowing the showdown. Obst's rival had a {A-}{Q-}{4-}{3-} badugi but Obst had that beat with his {10-}{8-}{7-}{3-} badugi.
