Schulman Busts to Zinno's Quads

Level 15 : 3,000/6,000, 0 ante
Nick Schulman
Nick Schulman

Down to a mere one and a half big bets, Nick Schulman raised from the cutoff and Andrew Kelsall in the small blind made it three bets. Anthony Zinno called in the big blind and Schulman called all in.

The flop fell {K-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{2-Spades} and both remaining active players checked. On the {6-Hearts} turn, Kelsall bet and Zinno raised, which resulted in a call. After the {2-Hearts} river, Kelsall checked and faced a bet by Zinno to reluctantly fold with his head shaking.

Zinno flipped over the {A-Spades}{J-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{2-Clubs} for quad deuces as effective nuts and Schulman tossed his cards into the muck before heading to the rail.

Level 14 : 2,500/5,000, 0 ante

Jonathan Depa and Matthew Kelly are now members of the feature table in the Brasilia room.

Bohlman and Elezra Tangle

Level 14 : 2,500/5,000, 0 ante

On the button, Scott Bohlman opened and Eli Elezra called from the big blind.

On the {10-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} flop, Elezra led out and Bohlman called.

The turn was the {5-Clubs} and Elezra led out again, but this time Bohlman raised. Elezra called.

The river was the {4-Diamonds} and Elezra slowed down with a check. Bohlman bet and a frustrated Elezra mucked his hand, allowing Bohlman to take down the pot.

Duhamel and Koral Remain Short

Level 14 : 2,500/5,000, 0 ante

Jonathan Duhamel called a bet by Doug Lorgeree on the {A-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{6-Hearts} turn and the {J-Hearts} river was then checked by Lorgeree in the small blind. Duhamel checked back and was shown {A-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{3-Clubs} for a full house, and the Canadian mucked.

In the next hand, Chris Bjorin raised and Tom Koral called in the big blind. The flop fell {A-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} and Koral check-called a bet before the duo checked the {7-Spades} turn. Koral bet the {8-Hearts} river and Bjorin called.

"I have two pair and a live trey," Koral announced and tabled his {A-Spades}{J-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} for aces and eights. Bjorin had {A-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} for the better two pair and scooped the high pot. Koral took the low.

Wolansky Three-Quarters Zinno, Rails Benyamine

Level 14 : 2,500/5,000, 0 ante
David Benyamine
David Benyamine

With the board reading {7-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{J-Hearts} and already substantial action earlier, David Benyamine put his final big bet in and Anthony Zinno made it two bets from the cutoff. Steven Wolansky instantly called on the button to build the side pot.

On the {6-Hearts} river, Zinno bet, Wolansky raised, and Zinno unhappily called it off.

David Benyamine: {A-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}
Anthony Zinno: {A-Spades}{J-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{2-Clubs}
Steven Wolansky: {A-Hearts}{Q-Spades}{8-Spades}{2-Hearts}

Wolansky took the high with the nut flush, and he and Zinno chopped the low with an ace-deuce. Benyamine came up short and headed for the rail near the end of Level 14.

Parvizi Takes One Three Ways

Level 14 : 2,500/5,000, 0 ante

Scott Bohlman limped in before Iraj Parvizi raised. Phil Hellmuth called from the blinds and Bohlman called as well.

The flop was {10-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} and action checked to Parvizi who bet. Both Hellmuth and Bohlman called.

The turn was the {9-Clubs} and all three players checked, then checked again on the {7-Clubs} river. Parvizi showed {A-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{4-Hearts} for a pair of aces and Bohlman mucked.

"Pair of aces?" Hellmuth asked. "That's it? I have a straight flush."

Hellmuth did not have a straight flush though, as he was joking. He turned up {J-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{5-Spades}{3-Diamonds} and collected no part of the pot.

Aces Up for Alaei

Level 14 : 2,500/5,000, 0 ante

Brian Rast defended his big blind against a raise by Daniel Alaei and ended up check-calling a bet on the {K-Spades}{J-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{9-Hearts} turn. Rast also checked the {3-Diamonds} on the river and Alaei bet once more, picking up a call by Rast.

Alaei rolled over {A-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{7-Hearts} for aces up and that won the pot.
