Shak Takes Out Kelly

Level 15 : 3,000/6,000, 0 ante
Matthew Kelly
Matthew Kelly

Mike Gorodinsky raised and was called by Matthew Kelly and Dan Shak in the big blind.

The flop was {K-Clubs}{8-Spades}{2-Diamonds} and Shak checked to Gorodinsky who bet. Kelly raised, leaving himself with 6,000 behind. Shak called and Gorodinsky called as well.

The turn was the {A-Diamonds} and action checked to Kelly who moved all in for 6,000 and both players just called.

On the {3-Clubs} river, Shak bet and Gorodinsky thought for a long time before calling. Shak showed {5-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{10-Spades} for a straight and the nut low.

"Typical hand for me," Kelly said showing {6-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{2-Spades} for a flopped set that was no good. Gorodinsky mucked and Shak took down the pot, moving back over 100,000.

Matusow Doubles Up Again

Level 15 : 3,000/6,000, 0 ante

Mike Matusow keeps hanging around in the $10K Omaha Hi-Lo and found another double-up, this time at the expense of Chris Bjorin. Nearly all the chips were already in on a {9-Spades}{9-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds} board as the {K-Clubs} river got dealt. Matusow called all in for his final 2,000 when Bjorin bet.

"You've got a full house?" Matusow asked.

Chris Bjorin: {A-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{3-Clubs}
Mike Matusow: {J-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{10-Spades}

Matusow's straight ousted Bjorin's trip nines and "The Mouth" scored another double.

Four Bets and a Split Pot

Level 15 : 3,000/6,000, 0 ante

Robert Mizrachi raised and Tai Nguyen made it three bets from one seat over, Mizrachi called. On the {K-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{9-Clubs} flop both players checked before the {J-Clubs} turn brought four bets and a call. The {Q-Diamonds} river brought just a single bet and a call, and both players showed the nut straight.

"I outflopped you again," Nguyen said when he rolled over the {A-Spades}{K-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}{5-Clubs}. Mizrachi had the {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{3-Spades}, they chopped it up.

Parvizi Takes Back From Shak

Level 15 : 3,000/6,000, 0 ante

Dan Shak opened on the button with a raise and Iraj Parvizi made it three bets from the big blind. Shak made it four bets and Parvizi called.

The flop was {10-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{4-Spades} and Parvizi checked then called a bet from Shak.

Parvizi shifted gears and bet on the {5-Diamonds} turn and {9-Hearts} river and Shak called both bets. Parvizi showed his {A-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{2-Hearts} for two pair and it was good against Shak's {A-}{A-}{9-}{6-}.

Level 15 : 3,000/6,000, 0 ante
Mike Matusow
Mike Matusow

On a {K-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} flop, a very short-stacked Mike Matusow got his final chips in against Viacheslav Zhukov.

Mike Matusow: {K-Clubs}{K-Spades}{Q-Hearts}{7-Spades}
Viacheslav Zhukov: {A-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{2-Hearts}

The turn {A-Diamonds} and river {A-Hearts} improved Matusow further to a boat and he doubled up.

At another table, Dustin Dirksen check-called bets from Anthony Zinno on the {4-Spades}{3-Hearts}{10-Clubs} flop and {J-Spades} turn. The {8-Spades} river got checked by both players.

"Nut-nut," Dirksen said as he rolled over {A-Spades}{9-Clubs}{6-Spades}{2-Hearts} for the winner.

Shak Takes Three Quarters of a Monster Pot

Level 15 : 3,000/6,000, 0 ante
Dan Shak
Dan Shak

Matthew Kelly limped in and Jonathan Depa raised. Dan Shak called before Ben Landowski raised to three bets from the blinds. Kelly, Depa, and Shak all called, making it four-way action to a flop.

On the {7-Spades}{2-Clubs}{3-Clubs} flop, action checked to Kelly who bet. Depa called and Shak raised. Landowski folded while both other players called.

The turn was the {J-Clubs} and action checked to Shak who bet and was called twice. Action checked to Shak again on the {6-Diamonds} river and bet once more and was called twice.

"I have nut-nut, but I think I'm getting three quarters only," Shak said, showing {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs}{K-Spades}{4-Diamonds} for nut-nut. Depa had {A-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{6-Spades}{J-Spades} which would earn him half of the low pot and Kelly could only show {7-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{3-Spades} for two sets, both of which were no good. Shak took down the majority of the pot, boosting him to right around 200,000 chips.
