Duhamel Left With Crumbs

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante

Jonathan Duhamel raised on the button and was called by Lars Gronning in the small blind and Steve Chanthabouasy in the big blind. The flop fell {J-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{4-Hearts} and both players in the blinds checked to Duhamel, who bet. Only Gronning called and did so again on the {7-Clubs} turn.

The {Q-Diamonds} on the river brought a bet by Gronning and Duhamel double-checked his cards before reluctantly folding with half a big bet remaining.

Diep Busts to Hildebrand

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante
Wayne Diep

Per Hildebrand raised on the cutoff and Nikolai Yakovenko three-bet on the button to pick up a call by the Swede. On the {8-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} flop, Hildebrand checked and called a bet before doing so again on the {J-Hearts} turn. The {9-Hearts} river was checked and Yakovenko announced ace-jack before turning over his {A-Diamonds}{J-Spades}{3-Clubs}{3-Spades} to scoop the pot.

Daniel Zack raised on the button and Felipe Ramos called in the big blind. On a flop of {A-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}{6-Clubs}, Ramos checked and called a bet. The {6-Hearts} turn paired the board and Ramos checked once more. Zack bet and the Brazilian gave it some consideration before letting go.

The very next hand, Wayne Diep raised with his short stack on the button and Hildebrand called in the big blind. The flop came {A-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} and Hildebrand check-called a bet. After the {K-Diamonds} turn, Hildebrand check-called the shove of Diep for the last 7,000 and Diep said "flush is good" to his opponent.

Wayne Diep: {A-Spades}{Q-Spades}{10-Hearts}{9-Hearts}
Per Hildebrand: {6-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}

Hildebrand had a low draw and needed a trey or deuce to scoop. Sure enough, the {3-Hearts} fell on the river and that spelled the end for Diep.

Gorodinsky on the Recovery Wagon

Eli Elezra raised from the cutoff and was called by Mike Gorodinsky in the small blind and Robert Mizrachi in the big blind.

The flop was {10-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{8-Hearts} and action checked to Elezra who bet. Gorodinsky raised and only Elezra called.

Both players checked on the {4-Diamonds} turn but on the {Q-Diamonds} river, Gorodinsky led out with another bet. Elezra tanked for a while but finally called.

"Straight," Gorodinsky said. He showed his {J-Spades}{9-Spades}{J-Clubs}{K-Clubs} for the straight and it was good to take down the pot.

"I had a set," Elezra said showing {A-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{Q-} then mucking. "How was there not more money in that pot?"

"You play too good," Gorodinsky said.

"If I play really good, I fold the river," Elezra said laughing.

Rutter Doubles Through Gorodinsky

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante

Stuart Rutter raised in middle position and called a three-bet from Mike Gorodinsky in late position. Rutter check-called the {10-Clubs}{9-Spades}{10-Hearts} flop before check-raising the {3-Spades} turn all in. Gorodinsky called the few extra chips.

Stuart Rutter: {A-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}
Mike Gorodinsky: {A-Clubs}{A-Spades}{Q-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}

Rutter had outflopped Gorodinsky and got the full double after the {Q-Spades} river.

End of the Road for Paz-Gutierrez

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante

Jose Paz-Gutierrez survived several all-ins as of late, but the Bolivian ran out of luck when he clashed with table neighbor Nikolai Yakovenko, the chips went in preflop to create the following showdown:

Jose Paz-Gutierrez: {A-Hearts}{10-Spades}{4-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}
Nikolai Yakovenko: {A-Spades}{8-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{4-Hearts}

The {A-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}{3-Hearts} flop gave Yakovenko the flush draw and a gutshot, while Paz still had the better high hand and nut low draw. However, that all but changed with the {J-Hearts} turn and the {3-Diamonds} on the river was a blank to send Paz-Gutierrez to the rail.

Diep Hanging on by a Thread

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante

Earlier, Wayne Diep got scooped by Talon White, who held {A-}{5-}{4-}{3-} on a {3-}{7-}{K-}{4-}{2-} board. The American was down to 19,000 and stuck those in a couple of hands later. Nikolai Yakovenko came along blind from the big blind.

Wayne Diep: {K-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{2-Clubs}
Nikolai Yakovenko: {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}

It was a chop on a {3-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{A-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} board, keeping Diep short-stacked.
