A Dutch Update

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Alberto Stegeman, a Dutch well-known TV presenter and undercover journalist, was eliminated earlier today.

The player in mid-position raised to 1,800 and Stegeman called in the small blind with {q-Clubs}{j-Clubs} with 18,000 behind.

The flop came {8-}{9-}{2-} with two clubs. Stegeman check-shoved when his opponent continued with a bet of 3,200. His opponent called with {q-}{q-} and held on while the rest of the board ran out.

On one of the other tables, Mathijs Jonkers, lost part of his stack when he ran his set into his opponent's straight. Jonkers finished in third place last October during the WSOPE Main Event which took place in the King's Casino in Rozvadov, Czech Republic.
