Altman Doubles Through Zhu

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

Brian Altman defended big blind from a Yueqi Zhu hijack open and checked the {k-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} flop. Zhu bet 80,000 and Altman made it 200,000. Zhu called after some thought and the {j-Clubs} fell. Altman bet 325,000 and Zhu quickly shoved all in for 880,000 more. Altman snapped it off with {a-Clubs}{2-Spades} for trips, and Zhu was drawing thin with {q-Clubs}{j-Hearts}, having turned a pair. The {6-Diamonds} river sent the pot to Altman.

Ralph Massey wandered over and said something we didn't hear to Altman.

"Easy come, easy go," Altman said with a smile.

Zobian Moves Over Five Million

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

There was an all-in and a call at Aram Zobian's table, with Zobian the at-risk player holding {3-Hearts}{3-Clubs} on a {3-Spades}{q-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{5-Hearts}. His opponent Nikolaos Platis held {k-Spades}{q-Spades} for top pair and the river {a-Hearts} changed nothing. Zobian's double was for 2,250,000 and he moved well over five million chips with that double-up.

Action folded to the small blind where Rifat Palevic put in a cold four-bet to 575,000. Kartik Ved tanked in the big blind for quite some time before he decided to fold. and Le folded as well. O'Donnell had other plans though, he called to see a flop.
