Conor Beresford had dominated the early duel with Thiago Nishijima and reduced the stack of his opponent to just 13,000. Ultimately, Beresford just jammed it in pre and Nishijima called it off.

Joining the action on the 
turn, Aaron Mermelstein bet 2,200 and Michael Addamo called. The 
appeared on the river and Mermelstein slowed down, checked his option. Addamo made it 14,400 to go and that won the pot without showdown, as Mermelstein elected to fold.
Dario Sammartino and Alex Foxen was another big matchup to keep an eye on and it didn't take long for Sammartino to make quick work of Foxen. Sammartino made a good call with second pair earlier on to catch Foxen bluffing which left him on the short stack. Moments later, Foxen was missing from his seat and Sammartino was collecting his papers to return at 7 p.m.
Benjamin Jones was also victorious over Manuel Saavedra while Pedro Waldburger defeated Marius Gierse.
Matthias Eibinger has established a big lead early on and has reduced Adrian Mateos to fewer than half the starting stack. In the latest hand, the turn showed 
and Eibinger checked, Mateos bet 2,200, which Eibinger called. On the 
river, Eibinger checked and called a bet of 4,500 to get shown 
by Mateos.
Eibinger rolled over the and for the better boat and scooped another pot.
The play-in round should be finished at about 7:00 p.m., and it is at that point when the official bracket will be set.
The Round of 64 will take place shortly after, followed by the Round of 32 at roughly 10:00 p.m.
The early stage of the heads-up duel of Short Deck Bracelet winner Alex Epstein and Julien Martini was dominated by the former, as Martini quickly saw his stack reduced. They just clashed with Martini at risk on a turn of 
with 16,000 in the middle.
Epstein had pushed all in and Martini shook his head. "I think I have the best hand right now," the Frenchman said and took another minute before making the call.

Timothy Tenpas was standing up from his seat taking a picture, while all of the cards were face up and all the chips were in the middle. The board read 
and Tenpas had sitting in front of him. Unfortunately for him, Patrick Leonard tabled 
for the larger full house.
Leonard was all in for 39,200 before securing the double. Tenpas said "Good game" to Leonard but he was still left with a reasonable stack of 26,200, plenty to work with going forward.
The second player to advance to the official bracket through the play in round is Anton Morgenstern. Matthew Gonzales was standing up from the seat and a floorman arrived to fill out all the paperwork.
According to Morgenstern, it was two big hands that brought him to victory. He first called a three-bet to 3,700 with 
and saw a 
flop, on which he called a bet of 2,400 by Gonzales. On the turn, Gonzales check-called a bet of 9,600 and did so again for 21,000 on the 
river.
In the second level of play, it was yet another three-bet pot and Morgenstern flopped top pair with
