Epstein Vaults Ahead of Martini

Level 5 : 500/1,000, 0 ante

Alex Epstein limped in from the button and Julien Martini made it 4,000 to go. Epstein called and the flop came {j-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{6-Spades}. Martini led out for 2,500 and Epstein called.

The turn brought the {7-Clubs} and Martini check-called a bet of 7,500 from Epstein. The {2-Hearts} completed the board and Martini check-called another 11,000. Epstein tabled {k-Spades}{10-Hearts} and that was enough to force Martini's cards to the muck.

Polk Traps Cada for All of the Chips

Level 4 : 400/800, 0 ante
Doug Polk
Doug Polk

A completed board of {8-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} was spread across the table with just under 20,000 in the middle. Doug Polk checked to Joe Cada who tanked for a minute before shoving all in for 25,600. Polk snap-called and turned over {9-Spades}{9-Hearts} for a full house.

Cada had a look of surprise on his face as he flashed the {j-Clubs}{9-Clubs}. "I was betting for value," Cada said. Polk will be moving on to the next round while Cada will have to look for another bracelet on another day.

Jensen Doubles Through Nitsche

Level 4 : 400/800, 0 ante

On the flop of {7-Spades}{2-Hearts}{2-Spades}, Gregory Jensen made it 7,000 to go and Dominik Nitsche called to see the {5-Hearts} on the turn. Jensen jammed for the last 23,200 and Nitsche gave it brief consideration, then made the call.

Gregory Jensen: {8-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}
Dominik Nitsche: {6-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}

The {10-Clubs} on the river changed nothing and Jensen doubled into the lead.

Brian Rast raised it up on the button and Stefan Schillhabel stuck in a three-bet to 6,000. Rast replied with a four-bet to 14,400 and Schillhabel called. Both players checked the {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{10-Spades} flop and the {j-Hearts} landed on the turn.

Schillhabel checked again and Rast thought for a minute before checking back. The river brought the {k-Hearts} and Schillhabel checked for the third time. Rast finally tossed in a bet of 11,000 and Schillhabel instantly mucked.
