Abedi Puts Screws to Opponent, Forces Fold

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

In a large pot of already at least 65,000, [Removed:321] Abedi put maximum pressure on his opponent with an all in bet on the river with the board reading {3-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}.

His opponent thought long and hard about the decision as he was easily covered by Abedi. After at least two minutes he slowly folded and continued to look deep in thought, seemingly still wondering if he made the correct decision, as Abedi raked in a big pot to add to his large stack.

Toby Lewis Tank-Calls with Worse Hand

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

With over 30,000 in the pot and the {q-Spades}{4-Clubs}{6-Spades}{2-Hearts} in the middle of the table, Toby Lewis (hijack) was put to a test by a player in the big blind who moved all in for an effective 21,200.

Lewis tanked for a couple of minutes and then decided to go for it with {8-Clubs}{8-Hearts}. Unfortunately for him, his opponent showed {k-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} and the {9-Diamonds} river confirmed Lewis' bustout.

Lampropulos Folds on River

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Maria Lampropulos called in the big blind after her left-hand opponent had made it 4,000 from under the gun. They both checked the {j-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{6-Hearts} flop and Lampropulos took the betting lead when the {10-Diamonds} landed. She fired 8,000 and received a call. The dealer rolled over the {q-Hearts} river and Lampropulos checked. Her opponent bet out 10,000 and Lampropulos double checked her hand before folding.

On a board that read {10-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{q-Spades}{7-Hearts} Toan Nguyen was in a decent sized pot. Action was checked to him and he decided to check it back and turned over the {j-Diamonds}{10-Spades} for second pair which was good enough to take the pot and continue his upward climb into the higher echelons of the chip counts.

Anderson Runs into Blades

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Calvin Anderson made it 2,300 on the button before the player in the big blind three-bet to 6,800. Anderson matched the price and then he called another 10,500 on the {4-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{10-Clubs} flop. The {9-Spades} turn went check-check but the big blind quickly fired 15,000 when the {4-Clubs} landed.

Anderson was interested in the showdown and paid the bet only to find out that he was up against {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}. "You got it," Anderson said and mucked his hand.
