Citara Doubles Up

Level 29 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

The board read {6-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{8-Spades} with 950,000 in the middle already.

The player in the big blind checked and Carlos Citara in mid-position bet 500,000. The big blind responded with a shove which Citara quickly called for the 2,080,000 he had behind.

Carlos Citara: {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}
Big Blind: {a-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}

The board was completed with the {4-Spades} to keep Citara ahead with the pocket aces and he doubled up.

Dodson Can't Fade King-Eight

Level 29 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Ryan Dodson raised to 220,000 from the button, and Jose Trapote three-bet shoved for 1.9 million in the small blind. After Bruno Politano folded his big blind, Dodson snapped off his last 1.8 million.

Ryan Dodson: {6-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}
Jose Trapote: {k-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}

Dodson held on the {2-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{a-Clubs} flop, but the {8-Diamonds} turn paired Trapote, and left Dodson calling for a six. The {3-Clubs} bricked off, and Dodson hit the rail after giving Ryan Leng a quick hug.

Naumann's Nut Flush Gets Paid

Level 29 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

In a substantial pot on a board that read {5-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{3-Spades}{j-Diamonds} Jacob Naumann made a bet of 675,000 into his opponent Casey Brown.

Brown thought it over for a few moments before deciding to call. Naumann quickly turned over the {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} for the nut flush and Brown mucked his cards and sent 675,000 new chips Naumann's way.

"A Brutal Way to Go" For De Lima

Level 29 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Carlos Alberto Alves De Lima jammed for 850,000 in middle position, and Carlos Citara three-bet shoved for 1.8 million from the button, chasing out the blinds.

Carlos Alberto Alves De Lima: {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}
Carlos Citara: {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}

Citara was in bad shape, and it got worse after the {j-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} flop left him looking for running cards to score the knockout. The {q-Diamonds} turn was one of them, and after the {10-Spades} river completed an unlikely Broadway straight for Citara, a shellshocked De Lima slumped down in his chair with a wry grin on his face, still in disbelief that his aces had been cracked. He eventually stood up and shook hands with the table, wishing them well before departing.

Michael Matrone: {j-Spades}{j-Hearts}
Dianlei Zhang: {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}

Pan's Sneaky Straight Nets a Double

Level 29 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

With around 600,000 in the pot, Yuwen Pan got his last 850,000 in from the small blind on a {4-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} board, and John Gorsuch had him at risk in the cutoff.

Yuwen Pan: {7-Spades}{6-Spades}
John Gorsuch: {8-Spades}{8-Hearts}

After the {2-Spades} fell on the river, Gorsuch started to bring his chips back, not seeing that Pan had turned a straight. Once he realized that his set had been bested by Pan, he nodded and paid off his debt.
