The dealer fanned a flop of {a-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{6-Spades}. The big blind check-called Varnell's bet of 2,500.

The turn was the {2-Hearts}. The big blind checked again. Varnell moved all in for about 240,000. His opponent, with 20,000 behind, went deep into the tank.

"That was a great turn,'' commented Varnell.

"It was for me!" responded his opponent.

"It was for me too!" added Varnell.

The player in the big blind gave it some more thought, but decided to let it go. Varnell showed {8-Hearts}{5-Hearts} before raking in the pot.

The under-the-gun player raised to 2,300 and action folded to Ho Kit Ng who called from the small blind.

Ng called the 4,300 bet after he checked the {q-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} flop.

A {q-Clubs} fell on the turn. Ng bet 4,500 and his opponent raised to 16,000, Ng called.

Both players checked the {k-Spades} on the river and Ng tabled {k-Clubs}{q-Hearts} for queens full and took the pot down.

Good Start for Sinclair

Denis Shafikov raised to 1,800 from the hijack and Dan Zack three-bet to 5,500. Roy Upshaw called in the small blind and now Shafikov four-bet to 18,500. Zack considered his options and then decided to shove. Both Upshaw and Shafikov quickly folded.

The hand right after, Jack Sinclair raised to 1,600 from under the gun and was called by Upshaw on the button and Bas de Laat in the big blind.

The flop came {6-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{a-Hearts}, Sinclair continued with a bet of 1,300 which only Upshaw called.

The turn was the {7-Diamonds} and Sinclair barreled a bet of 5,500 over the line now. Upshaw called again.

The river completed the board with the {3-Clubs}, Sinclair glanced at Upshaw and then flicked in two orange 5,000-value chips for the bet. Upshaw took a few seconds and then open-folded {j-Clubs}{j-Hearts} so the 2018 WSOP Europe Main Event Champion could pick up the pot.
