Lord Scoops a Pot from Serda

Level 12 : 1,200/2,400, 0 ante

Omaha Hi-Lo

Phil Hellmuth opened from the cutoff and Patrick Serda called on the button. Kristan Lord called in the small blind and Matt Szymaszek defended his big.

The dealer fanned out {k-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} on the flop, action checked to Hellmuth who bet and Serda instantly made it two. Lord and Hellmuth both called to see the {2-Spades} turn card.

Both Lord and Hellmuth tapped to Serda, he fired in a bet that was only called by Lord. The {2-Hearts} fell as a river card and Lord pushed in a bet.

Serda thought for a moment then called and Lord tabled {a-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{4-Spades}{2-Diamonds} for a full house with an ace-four low. Serda looked annoyed as he threw his cards into the muck, sending the whole pot to Lord.

Level 12 : 1,200/2,400, 0 ante

PLO

Jason Acosta and Sampo Ryynanen were on the {5-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{5-Spades}{9-Clubs} turn where Acosta checked from the big blind and Ryynanen, two seats two Acosta's left, fired 2,400. Acosta countered with a check-raise to 6,700 and Ryynanen called.

The river came {3-Spades} and the action went check-check. Acosta tabled {q-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} for a rivered full house and he increased his big stack as Ryynanen mucked.

Smith Keeps Barrelling

Level 12 : 1,200/2,400, 0 ante

Stud

Shannon Shorr led out on fourth street and Bradley Smith raised. Aleksandr Gofman was also in the pot and he seemed to have a tough decision which ultimately resulted in a fold. Shorr called and then called one more bet on fifth. Smith paired a seven on sixth and Shorr waived the white flag after Smith fired another shell.

Gofman: {x-}{x-} / {2-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} - folded on fourth
Shorr: {x-}{x-} / {k-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{9-Spades}{j-Hearts} - folded on sixth
Smith: {x-}{x-} / {a-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{7-Spades}

Owen's Sailboats Sink on the River

Level 12 : 1,200/2,400, 0 ante

NLH

Mihailes Morozovs raised to 1,400 in the cutoff and Adam Owen moved all in for his remaining 4,700 in the big blind. Morozovs swiftly pushed in the chips and the two turned over their hands, with Owen at risk.

Adam Owen: {4-Spades}{4-Hearts}
Mihailes Morozovs: {8-Clubs}{7-Clubs}

The flop hit both players when the dealer fanned {k-Spades}{q-Clubs}{4-Clubs} out. Morozovs picked up a flush draw and Owen made a set of sailboats. The {6-Diamonds} turn cards gave Morozovs additional straight draw outs as well.

An unfortunate card landed on the river when the {5-Clubs} peeled off, giving Morozovs his flush and the pot and Owen was eliminated from the tournament.

Klodnicki Over a Hundo

Chris Klodnicki
Chris Klodnicki

NLH

Chris Klodnicki opened his button to 1,500 and Schuyler Thornton called from the big blind. Klodnicki barreled the {9-Spades}{5-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{7-Hearts} board, making it 2,000 on the flop, 5,000 on the turn before shoving for an effective 15,000 or so on the river.

Thornton called on all streets but his tournament was over when Klodnicki tabled {j-Spades}{10-Clubs} for a straight. Thornton opened {a-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} to comply with the all-in rule and then left the table.

Klodnicki has just crossed 100,000, having quadrupled his stack during the first 70 minutes of Day 2.
