Roberts Runs Into Schiff's Aces

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 2,400 ante

Lauren Roberts raised it up to 5,000 in early position and Emile Schiff re-raised to 12,000 directly to her left. Mladen Nincevic flat-called from the small blind and Roberts called as well.

The flop fell {4-Spades}{3-Spades}{2-Spades} and Nincevic started with a check. Roberts announced all in for 36,000 and Schiff asked for a count before making the call. Nincevic stepped aside and the two remaining hands were tabled.

Emile Schiff: {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}
Lauren Roberts: {6-Spades}{6-Diamonds}

Roberts needed to hit a five or six in order to stay to alive. The turn was the {3-Hearts} and the river was the {4-Clubs} as Schiff collected the pot with his pocket aces.

Cohen Finds a Double Through Flemming

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 2,400 ante

Sam Cohen raised to 5,100 from the button and Lee Flemming three-bet to 23,500 in the small blind. The big blind folded to Cohen who made the call.

The flop came {6-Spades}{10-Spades}{4-Hearts} and Flemming continued with a bet of 13,000. Cohen quickly shoved and Flemming asked for a count. Cohen confirmed she had 65,400 behind. Fleming counted out calling chips but considered his options for a bit longer before actually making the call in the end with the bigger stack.

Sam Cohen: {k-Hearts}{10-Hearts}
Lee Flemming: {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}

Cohen had flopped a pair of tens while Flemming had high cards in his hand.

The rest of the board was completed with the {j-Diamonds} on the turn which gave Flemming a gutshot to Broadway but the river completed the board with the {3-Clubs} for Cohen to stay alive and double up.

Unfortunately, Joseph Brumpacheco, Saya Ono, and 2018 Main Event eighth-place finisher, Artem Metalidi, weren't that lucky as they were eliminated on one of the other tables.

Two In a Row for Fernandez

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 2,400 ante
Sergio Fernandez
Sergio Fernandez

Sergio Fernandez was just stacking up chips from the previous pot and he was forced to put in his big blind. Johan Schumacher raised to 5,000 in early position and Fernandez defended his big blind.

The flop fell {q-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} and Fernandez check-called a bet of 4,500 from Schumacher. The {5-Spades} hit the turn and both players checked to the {4-Diamonds} on the river which double-paired the board.

Fernandez tossed in a bet of 14,500 and Schumacher looked him up. Fernandez, also known as "Serfe8" tabled {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} which was good enough to claim the pot.

Morman Doubles, Leaves Yang Short

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 2,400 ante

It only took a couple of preflop raises before Jason Morman and Xi Yang got all of their chips in the middle. Morman was the player at risk for 82,000 but was luckily in a dominating lead.

Jason Morman: {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}
Xi Yang: {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}

The board ran out {a-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{a-Spades}{7-Clubs} and Morman held on to double through Yang, leaving her with around 10 big blinds.

Unfortunately for Michael Carter and Arnaud Enselme, their tournament lives have recently come to an end.

Rollercoaster Ride for Cheung

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 2,400 ante

Sparrow Cheung opened to 5,000 in middle position and Arkadi Onikoul three-bet to 15,500 in the cutoff. Denis Timofeev flat-called on the button and the action was back on Cheung. He four-bet jammed all in for 102,500 and Onikoul gave it some thought but folded. Timofeev also took a moment and he decided to call.

Sparrow Cheung: {q-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}
Denis Timofeev: {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}

The flop came {k-Spades}{10-Spades}{9-Hearts} to give Timofeef the best hand with a set of tens. The {3-Hearts} on the turn changed nothing but the {j-Spades} on the river gave Cheung a straight in order to double up.

Berkey Flops a Set

Matt Berkey
Matt Berkey

Johan Guilbert raised to 5,200 from under the gun, Ioannis Angelou-Konstas called in mid-position and so did Matt Berkey in the cutoff. Yicheng Xu three-bet to 26,000 from the button and only Berkey made the call in the end.

They both checked through the {9-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} flop to the {7-Hearts} on the turn. Berkey bet 40,000 and Xu called.

The river completed the board with the {10-Spades} and they both checked for Berkey to claim the pot with {9-Spades}{9-Clubs} with the flopped set of nines.

Lots of Chips on Table 606

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 2,400 ante

Table 606 began the day with a few of the big stacks and it appears the stacks are continuing to grow with monster pots consistently being played. Uri Reichenstein has been pushing most of the action and he got it started again with a raise to 5,500. Jeffrey Chung called on his left and Anatoly Filatov three-bet to 23,500 next to act.

The action folded back to Reichenstein who counted out what looked to be a four-bet to 68,000. Chung mulled it over but decided to fold while Filatov instantly mucked his cards as well.

In the next hand, there was a raise to 5,500 from under the gun and both Reichenstein and David Coleman in the big blind called. The flop fell {j-Hearts}{9-Spades}{5-Diamonds} and the action checked around to the {4-Spades} on the turn. The action checked to Reichenstein this time who tossed in a bet of 7,500 and both of his opponents folded.
