Bubble Looming

Level 15 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

The tournament clock is currently showing that there are 960 players left. This number is not entirely correct as players keep busting at a fast pace. All spectators have been asked to leave the Amazon room for now as there's the expectation that there will be a lot of commotion around the bubble once it comes and after it bursts.

When the tournament clock was paused and all action was completed on all the tables, there were 913 players left in the field. Mecica Eliminates Two Players by Hitting the River

Level 16 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

The player in the early position raised and was called by Omer Mecica in the cutoff, the player on the button, and Anton Morgenstern in the big blind.

The flop came {5-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}, both Morgenstern and the initial raiser checked. Mecica bet which only the player on the button and the initial raiser called.

The turn was the {4-Diamonds}, the initial raiser checked, Mecica continued with a bet of 140,000 and the button responded with a shove of 216,000. Both the early position player and Mecica called.

The river completed the board with the {8-Hearts}, the initial raiser shoved for around 180,000 and Mecica snap-called with the bigger stack before flipping over {8-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} for the rivered full house. The initial raiser abruptly got up from his chair when he saw the cards.

"Flush?" someone at the table asked.

"Of course!" he replied and showed he held {k-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}.

The player on the button tried mucking his cards but the dealer turned them around to show he held {a-Spades}{5-Spades}. Both players made their way to the payout desk while Mecica scooped the whole pot.
