Deeb Wounds Johns

Level 14 : 8,000/16,000, 0 ante

Badeucey

Shaun Deeb and Ian Johns made it to the showdown and it seemed that bets were made after each draw. Johns took a while before calling the final bet and Deeb quickly turned up his hand, informing Johns that he ran into the goods as Deeb finished with {8-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}. Johns was scooped and he continued with his last 30,000.

Scoop for Moskowitz

Level 14 : 8,000/16,000, 0 ante

Stud Hi-Lo

David Moskowitz bet on fifth, sixth, and seventh street with his board showing three clubs. Adam Friedman called him down.

"Please, don't show a flush," Friedman solicited.

Moskowitz obliged, but he announced a straight and that wasn't good for Friedman either as he finished with two pair.

Moskowitz: {7-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} / {3-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{9-Clubs}
Friedman: {a-}{7-}{7-} / {a-}{j-}{5-}{k-}

Ospina Ousted by Pescatori

Level 14 : 8,000/16,000, 0 ante
Daniel Ospina
Daniel Ospina

No-Limit Hold'em

Just before the break, Daniel Ospina raised to 7,000 from the cutoff. Max Pescatori called from the button and Phillip Hui called from the big blind.

The flop was {k-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} and Hui checked to Ospina who bet 11,000. Pescatori raised to 30,000, Hui folded and Ospina tanked for a bit before he reraised all in for about 79,000. Pescatori called with {5-Hearts}{4-Hearts}, basically racing with Ospina's {k-Spades}{j-Clubs}.

The {9-Hearts} turn and {5-Diamonds} river completed the board, giving Pescatori a flush to eliminate Ospina.

Lisandro Busts Ferguson

Level 13 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante
Jeff Lisandro
Jeff Lisandro

Pot-Limit Hold'em

Jeff Lisandro was in for 7,000 from the cutoff and Chris Ferguson potted from the big blind, making it 22,500. Lisandro tanked for a while and then called.

The flop fell {8-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{5-Clubs} and Ferguson fired out a pot-sized bet. Lisandro instantly put him all in for an effective 65,000 or so and Ferguson called off for his remaining chips.

Lisandro showed {a-Spades}{a-Clubs} and Ferguson needed a backdoor help to survive with {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}. The dealer rolled out a {k-Hearts} turn, the best card Ferguson could hope for.

"Oh god," Lisandro said, but the {8-Diamonds} river quickly ended any chances for a bad beat. Ferguson was eliminated on the last hand before a break while Lisandro is now closing on 400,000.

Schreiber Has a Higher Pair

Level 13 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante

Pot-Limit Omaha High Only

Bryce Yockey raised in the hijack and Matthew Schreiber called in the big blind. Schreiber check-called the {a-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} flop and the {3-Clubs} turn ceased fire. Schreiber checked one more time on the {a-Spades} river and called when Yockey bet.

"Jacks," Yockey announced, but Schreiber promptly rolled over {k-Spades}{k-Hearts}{6-Spades}{2-Spades} and took it down.
