Hallay Eliminates Le

Level 29 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

From the button Quoc Le raised to 250,000. Axel Hallay shoved all in from the big blind, which was enough to cover Le.

Le was tortured over the decision. "I'm live, I know I have live cards here," he said while thinking it over. Eventually, he announced a call and collapsed his stacks of chips into the middle.

Hallay showed {a-Spades}{7-Hearts} and was somewhat surprised to see the {k-Clubs}{9-Hearts} that was revealed by Le.

The board ran out well for Hallay when it came the {a-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{3-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{q-Clubs} to eliminate Le.

"I did not expect to see those two hands tabled," remarked another player at the table as Hallay stacked his new chips.

Moon Turns Tide on Flop, Eliminates Oliveira

Level 29 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Gorki Oliviera moved all in from middle position. Benjamin Moon thought for quite a while before deciding to re-ship his larger stack. Robert Mitchell had a decision to make as he covered both players, but ultimately decided to fold after some deliberation.

Oliviera was ahead with the {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs} up against the {a-Spades}{q-Spades} of Moon. The flop turned the tide for Moon as it came the {q-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{8-Hearts}. The turn was the {4-Clubs} and the river the {a-Hearts} to confirm Oliveira's elimination.

Change of Plans

Level 29 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

It has just been announced that the players will finish up this level and then take the 15-minute break as scheduled. However, when players return from the break they will only play two more levels for the night (through level 31), and not down to six players as originally scheduled. The remaining players will then bag for the day.

Ribeiro Ships a Nice Pot

Level 28 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

After Robert Williams moved all in for his last 245,000 in chips from late position and action folded to Christopher Csik in the small blind, he re-raised by putting out a stack of brown 100,000 chips, which had Alexandre Ribeiro, who was in the big blind, more than covered. Ribeiro, who had 950,000 total, quickly called and was all in as well.

Robert Williams: {a-Spades}{j-Clubs}
Alexandre Ribeiro: {a-Clubs}{q-Spades}
Christopher Csik: {q-Clubs}{10-Clubs}

The board ran out {9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}{5-Spades}, which gave both Williams and Ribeiro two pair, but Ribeiro's queen-kicker played and he shipped both the main and side pots and Williams was eliminated from the tournament.

Le Calls Ortiz on Turn, Gets Flushed on River

Level 28 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

In a raised pot pre-flop Quoc Le and Alberto Ortiz Such saw a flop of {5-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{j-Hearts}. Ortiz bet about 400,000 after a check, which was called by Le.

The turn was the {6-Spades}. Le checked again and Ortiz moved all in for his remaining 875,000. Le thought it over for about ten seconds before making the call. And he was ahead with the call as he revealed the {9-Clubs}{9-Hearts} but had to dodge hearts as Ortiz held the {a-Hearts}{5-Hearts}.

The river was deadly to Le when the {4-Hearts} peeled off to give Ortiz the winning flush and send a significant portion of chips toward the Spaniard's stack.

Brito Eliminates Olsen with Aces

Level 28 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
Jose Brito
Jose Brito

On a flop that read {2-Clubs}{3-Spades}{6-Diamonds} Jose Brito had raised the bet of Erling Olsen from 300,000 to 1,100,000.

Olsen thought it out and studied Brito before announcing all in. Brito checked his cards quickly and called.

Brito got up and pumped his fist as he showed the {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds} which was well ahead of Olsen's {j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}. A rail of players supporting Brito started to celebrate, even before the turn {8-Spades} and the river {2-Diamonds} fell to confirm the huge pot for Brito and eliminate Olsen in a flash.
