Akashi Catches Fishberg

Level 2 : 100/200, 0 ante

In a heads up pot with roughly 2,800 in the middle, on a flop of {10-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}, Kosaku Akashi checked to Greg Fishberg who fired out 800 and Akashi called.

The turn was the {q-Diamonds} and Akashi check-called a 2,000 bet. On the river, Akashi checked once more and Fishberg fired out a larger bet of 6,400. Akashi took a moment and put in one chip to signal a call. Fishberg mucked his cards and Akashi won the pot.

Broad Scores Early Knockout

Level 2 : 100/200, 0 ante

Action picked up on the flop, but preflop action replayed courtesy of Weston Broad.

A player in the middle position raised it up to 500, and after action folded to Broad on the button he three-bet to 1,500. Both blinds folded their hands, but the original raiser made the call and they went headsup to the flop.

After the dealer spread a flop of {8-Spades}{9-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}, the middle position player moved all in and was snap-called by Broad.

All-in Player: {k-Spades}{q-Clubs}
Weston Broad: {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades}

The board ran out {6-Clubs} on the turn and {8-Diamonds} on the river, which eliminated the middle-position player and scored the early knockout for Broad.
