Spear's Turn Raise Forces the Fold

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Erik Seidel opened to 3,000 from the button, and got calls from the small blind and Dan Spear in the big blind.

All three players checked the {j-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{3-Spades} flop, and the small blind player led out for 5,000 on the {6-Hearts} turn. Spear raised it to 15,000, and Seidel got out of the way.

The small blind player thought it over for a few moments before folding, turning his {j-Hearts} face up.

Grospellier Gets the Double

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Bertrand Grospellier
Bertrand Grospellier

Bertrand Grospellier got all of his chips in on the turn, from the button, against an opponent from the big blind. The board showed {4-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{10-Spades}, and the big blind player called and took a couple of minutes to count out the correct amount of chips.

When that was settled, the big blind caller turned over his cards.

Bertrand Grospellier: {q-Diamonds}{j-Spades}
Opponent: {j-Hearts}{7-Hearts}

Grosellier was well ahead in this spot, and his hand held through the river {k-Clubs} for the double up.

Fabian Maser: {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}
Raymond Kondler: {j-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}

The river paired the board with the {6-Clubs} giving Kondler a full house and the double up.

Blackwell Scores the Knockout

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

A player went all in under the gun for his last 10,000 and got three callers, including the player to his direct left, Norm MacDonald in the cutoff, and Patrick Blackwell in the small blind.

The flop came {3-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{2-Spades}, and the action checked to the early position player, who bet 10,000. MacDonald asked for a count on that player's chips, tanked for a few seconds and made a visibly frustrated fold. Blackwell called, and the turn came the {9-Clubs}.

The action checked through on the final two streets, including the river {7-Spades}. Blackwell showed down {k-Spades}{q-Spades} to take down the pot and send the original under-the-gun raiser to the rail.

Meanwhile, Erik Seidel and Chris Grigorian have made their way into the field as late registration continues. The current count of active players is at 3,233.

Tens Hold for Ulrich, Cheltenham Eliminated

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Denis Cheltenham opened for 5,000 from the small blind, Timothy Ulrich three-bet jammed for 36,600 from the big, Cheltenham called.

Timothy Ulrich: {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}
Denis Cheltenham: {a-Spades}{10-Spades}

Cheltenham was behind and the {5-Clubs}{4-Spades}{q-Clubs} was no help.

The {3-Spades} on the turn brought many outs heading to the river as Cheltenham picked up the nut-flush and wheel draw.

The river fell a brick as it paired the board with the {3-Hearts} and Ulrich doubled through Cheltenham, who would be eliminated a few hands later.

Forca tabled {7-Hearts}{3-Hearts} and Harwood shook her head and mucked her hand as Forca raked in the pot.
