Gambardello Out-Kicks Aybar

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

With two early limpers and sitting on the button, Paul Gambardello raised the price of play to 5,900 and action folded back to Lorenzo Aybar and James Schroering who called.

The {a-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{j-Hearts} was checked around and the dealer burned and turned the {9-Spades}.

Gambardello fired out 4,100 after action was checked to him and he was called by Aybar.

Aybar check-called the 8,500 bet from Gambardello after the {q-Clubs} came on the river and the players tabled their hands.

Schroering {a-Clubs}{5-Clubs} was out-kicked by Gambardello {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds} and Gambardello added to his stack.

Min Survives Scary Flop For A Double

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Arthur Min open-jammed for 14,500 from late position and was called by Ray Thomason from the small blind.

Arthur Min: {a-Spades}{10-Clubs}
Ray Thomason: {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}

Min was able to pair his ten on the {10-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{6-Clubs} flop but it also gave Thomason the nut-flush draw.

The turn came the {6-Spades} and Thomason needed to pair his queen or hit any club on the river to eliminate Min.

Min had some luck on his side as the river fell the {8-Hearts} and he doubled through Thomason.

Bannister's Jacks Hold Against Miranda's Big Slick

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

After the player under the gun limped in, William Bannister jammed from sitting directly to their left for 16,900 and was called by Fabio Miranda from the big blind.

William Bannister: {j-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}
Fabio Miranda: {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}

It was a classic race that got better for Bannister after he flopped a set {10-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{2-Hearts}.

The turn came the {8-Spades} and Miranda needed a queen to fall on the river.

Luckily for Bannister, the river fell the {5-Clubs} and he doubled through Miranda.

Chen Takes Back from Moneymaker

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Qiong Chen opened with a min-raise to 2,000 from early position. He was called by the button player and Chris Moneymaker defended his big.

Moneymaker checked the {j-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} flop and Chen fired out 2,000. The button player called and Moneymaker three-bet to 9,000 getting a call from Chen.

The turn came the {10-Clubs} and Moneymaker check-called the 8,000 bet from Chen.

The river fell the {3-Spades} and Moneymaker checked his option once again to Chen who bet 15,000.

"If you have the nine then you have the nine but I have to call", said Moneymaker, as he tabled {8-Hearts}{7-Spades} for a flopped two-pair, but that wasn't good as Chen, who didn't have the nine but turned a set of tens {10-Hearts}{10-Spades} for the winner.

Aces vs Kings; A Classic Confrontation

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

A player opened and Anabeatriz Dasilveiradias three-bet to 7,000. The initial raiser four-bet to 28,000 and Dasilveiradias five-bet to all in for 84,200.

Her opponent tanked for a minute or so before calling.

Anabeatriz Dasilveiradias: {a-Hearts}{a-Spades}
Opponent: {k-Hearts}{k-Spades}

It was a classic confrontation of aces against kings, and with no king coming on the {6-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{a-Clubs} runout, she doubled to well over 150,000 in chips.
