Zanot Busts One in Set-over-Set Clash

Level 8 : 400/800, 800 ante
Thomas Zanot
Thomas Zanot

With {6-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} on the board, a player in the middle position bet 15,600 and Thomas Zanot slid forward enough chips to cover his opponent's stack.

The other player tanked until a clock was called on him. He had 31,000 behind and grabbed them when the five-second countdown started, then threw them into the middle.

Zanot showed {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds} for the top set and the other players' cards were exposed to comply with the all-in rule. It became apparent that Zanot's opponent also flopped a set, holding {j-Spades}{j-Clubs}.

Dentale Puts His Opponent to the Test

Level 8 : 400/800, 800 ante

Three players came to the flop of {k-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{6-Hearts} with Mike Dentale checking from an early position. The action got checked to the player on the button who fired 20,000 and only Dentale matched the price.

Both checked the {k-Spades} turn and the {3-Spades} landed on the river. Dentale threw in 75,000 to cover his opponent's stack of just under 40,000. The other player tanked for a while and then sent his cards into the muck.

Bad River Counterfeits Ferguson's Boat

Level 8 : 400/800, 800 ante

Chris Ferguson checked from the small blind on a flop of {6-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{9-Diamonds} and his opponent, who was in an early position, fired 2,200 into around 4,000. Ferguson paused and then called.

The {5-Clubs} turn saw Ferguson check again and the other player fired 6,000. Ferguson moved all in for around 24,000 and he got called right away.

Ferguson had flopped a full house with {6-Spades}{6-Clubs} and his opponent tabled {10-Clubs}{10-Hearts}.

Unfortunately for Ferguson, the {9-Clubs} hit the felt and both players' hands turned into nines full with Ferguson's opponent getting the best of it.

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

An open raise to 2,500 came from a player in middle position, followed by a call, and then an all in for 26,900 from Graeme Wright. Action got back around to the original raiser who made the call. The other player folded and the two remaining players turned their cards face up.

Graeme Wright: {a-}{k-}

Mizrachi Can't Get Traction

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Following three limps, Michael Mizrachi paused in the big blind.

"It's a re-entry, right? I'm gonna raise it," he said and threw in 6,000.

The first limper moved all in for 19,700 and the action returned to Mizrachi who called, learning that his {a-Clubs}{q-Spades} was flipping with {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}.

The dealer spread out {3-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{3-Spades} and Mizrachi had to concede about a half of his stack.

"It's my third bullet... in less than an hour," he said and the table laughed.
