Level 18 : 10,000/20,000, 0 ante
Chris Vitch
Chris Vitch

Christopher Vitch raised in the cutoff and Alain Alinat three-bet in the small blind. Vitch pushed his last chips in the middle for a total stack worth 40,000 and Alinat completed.

Christopher Vitch: {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}
Alain Alinat: {k-Spades}{q-Spades}

Vitch had the dominating hand, however, the dealer brought a board {8-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{a-Hearts}{5-Spades}{j-Spades}, giving a runner-runner flush to Alinat to eliminate the two-time bracelet winner in 11th place for $8,511.

Ups and Downs for Vitch

Level 18 : 10,000/20,000, 0 ante

There have been ups and downs for Christopher Vitch in the last few hands. In the first, the action was picked up on the turn on a board reading {q-Spades}{j-Hearts}{j-Spades}{10-Diamonds} with Vitch check-calling a bet from Jeff Shulman. The river fell a {3-Clubs} and this time Vitch tanked and check-folded after another bet from Shulman. Vitch was left with 25,000 after that hand.

A few minutes later, Vitch raised in the cutoff to 20,000 and called all in with his last 5,000 after Ian O'Hara three-bet in the big blind.

Christopher Vitch: {a-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}
Ian O'Hara: {9-Hearts}{2-Clubs}

Vitch was in good shape for a double up, which he did after the board fell {8-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{7-Diamonds}.

Dao Reps Big

Level 18 : 10,000/20,000, 0 ante
Tu Dao
Tu Dao

Tu Dao has been putting some distance between herself and the rest of the field and she now has more than double the average stack.

She recently put pressure on Chad Eveslage in a pot that on an {a-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{2-Spades} flop. Dao was in the big blind and checked to Eveslage who bet 10,000. Oleg Chebotarev was also in the hand and he got out the way. Back on Dao and she raised to 20,000. Eveslage then three-bet to 30,000 but not to be outdone, Dao four-bet to 40,000.

Eveslage called and they saw a {7-Spades} turn but when Dao barreled for 20,000, Eveslage let it go and Dao is now a long way ahead of her competitors.

Shulman Puts Alinat to a Decision

Level 18 : 10,000/20,000, 0 ante

In a blind versus blind situation, the flop read {9-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{6-Clubs} when Jeff Shulman bet and faced a raised from Alain Alinat. Shulman called and the dealer brought a {7-Hearts} on the turn. Both players checked.

On the {7-Spades} river, Shulman sent a bet in and Alinat went deep into the tank before sending his cards into the muck.

Torry Doubles Up on Dao

Level 18 : 10,000/20,000, 0 ante

Tu Dao called on the button and Alex Torry decided to raise from the small blind, with 10,000 left behind. It came back to Dao who reraised and Torry called with his last chips.

Alex Torry: {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs}
Tu Dao: {q-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}

Torry had the best hand and the board {2-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{8-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{k-Hearts} brought no surprise to give Torry the double up.

Rehan Alwani Eliminated in 12th Place ($8,511)

Level 18 : 10,000/20,000, 0 ante
Rehan Alwani
Rehan Alwani

It has been a rollercoaster ride for Rehan Alwani but unfortunately, it's come to an end for the Canadian. He had recently lost most of his stack against Jan Suchanek and was left with jut 50,000 after that clash.

He got it all in preflop with {3-Diamonds}{3-Spades} but ran into Jeff Shulman's pocket {k-Spades}{k-Hearts} and couldn't find help on the {10-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{2-Clubs} board, despite cries of "one time" from his rail.

Boat Over Boat for Dao and Shiu

Level 18 : 10,000/20,000, 0 ante

The {2-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} flop was already out and Millie Shiu called Tu Dao's bet. There was another 20,000 bet from Dao on the {10-Spades} turn and 20,000 more on the {10-Clubs} river and Shiu called both, taking them to showdown.

Tu Dao: {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}
Millie Shiu: {6-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}

Both players had a full house but Dao's was the higher and she puts more distance between herself and the others at her table.
